Can you add multiple income accounts to one inventory item?
We have 1 item we sell to multiple locations. Currently I do a journal entry at the end of the month to allocate all sales to their associated sales account. For instance
Item 1 sold to Amazon, Shopify and distributor. We have set up 3 separate sales accounts to reflect sales to each. Currently the items are all set up to one income account: Sales. At months end a journal entry is created to divide the sales into the proper category: Monthly Sales = $xxxxx.xx, journal entry would be
Sales = $$$$; Shopify Sales = $$$$; Amazon Sales = $$$$
To make it easier would we have to create 3 separate items to assign a different income account to each to eliminate the task of journal entries?
