How to manage inventory where the goods are not recorded as inventory assets and only the number?

edited Jun 2, 2025 2:30PM in Ask A Guru 2 comments

Functions like deposited inventory, which is not recorded as an inventory asset but only the number of inventory items

Is there a standard feature in NetSuite to manage inventory like a depository inventory, where the goods are not recorded as inventory assets and only the number of inventory items is managed?

In some cases, products are shipped directly from suppliers to customers, and in such cases, the suppliers may have their own inventory. (In this case, the inventory assets are not owned by the company)

Since the goods are shipped directly from the supplier to the customer, there is no change in the company's own inventory assets, but there is a change in the number of inventory items.

Howdy, Stranger!
