How can we assign Department Numbers for each Subsidiary under specific Departments?

Hello Friends,

I hope all are doing well in 2023. I wanted to check if anyone ever got the requirement to store the department number in NetSuite. Since we are using the same department across the subsidiaries, I have an idea and want to keep it in a custom record as below. The new Custom Record will have a relationship with the Department Record. Any better suggestion?


Department No | Department Name | Subsidiary

10| Accounting | US

20 | Accounting | UK
