How to Correct Percent Complete in a Project?
We are looking to assign multiple resources to a single project task, without knowing how many hours each resource will work on the project.
Example:
We have a consulting project with 40 service hours. The revenue for this project will be recognized using percent complete (actual hours logged/estimated hours).
Two resources are assigned to the task, but we are unsure how many hours each resource will use. It could be split 20/20 or 30/10. Currently we are entering each resource with 20 hours. If one logs over 20 hours, the estimated work increases or we have to manually adjust the hours for each resource.
