Why Can't I delete an Amortization JE?

Hi Gurus!


Scenario:

I just wanted to do a quick sanity check please.

I created some amortization JEs and now I need to delete them.

Initially I wanted to edit the approved JE that posted to the GL but I could not edit the accounts, so I decided to delete.


Question:

Is it not possible to delete a posted JE?

If not, the only option I have is to book a JE to negate the original JE, correct?

I could not even "make a copy" of the original JE so that I can just quickly swap debits and credits - everything is greyed out, which is strange.
