What are the effects of editing the Parent Department?
Hello Friends,
We have implemented the NetSuite using Parent & Child Department structure where we only make transactions using the child department. Currently, we want to change this structure and remove the parent department. Also we want to update the department name to add the department number as perfix as below.
1000 : Sales
2000 : Accounts
I can achieve this using the below steps:
1) Remove the Parent Department Link from the Department
2) Inactivate the Parent Department
3) Update the Department NUmber
I want to check the impact of this change as we plan to perform this in Production. Any input will be greatly appreciated.
