Field options in Custom Report and Saved Search

I created a Custom Search (Saved Search) for GL transactions. The results section has the fields which tie or map to the columns used in the JE template. I went through the whole list of fields (over 200) and figured out which ones mapped to the columns on the JE template.

Now I am trying to create a similar Custom Report for GL transactions. Which of the following should I use to create this report ?

  1. Reports --> New Report --> Transactions --New Transactions Report
  2. Reports --> Financial --> General Ledger --> Customize --> Report Builder --> Custom General Ledger
  3. Reports --> Financial --> Transaction Detail --> Customize --> Report Builder --> Custom Transaction Detail
