Using % on Transaction

Hii Guys,

i want ask, how to use function % for searching master data,

for example, sometimes my search vendor on transction like this (with triangle) so i cant user function %

but sometimes my search vendor on transaction like in the red box, then we can use the function

how do we do it, so that we can always use the % format?
