NSC | Billing Account's Next Bill Cycle Date Got Updated Unexpectedly

edited May 8, 2024 9:09PM in Accounting / ERP

Scenario

All Subscriptions related to a specific Billing Account have been terminated and all charges have been billed. Even after all this, user noticed that the Next Bill Cycle Date on the Billing Account keeps on getting updated every time Invoices are created which are not even related to Subscriptions.

Solution

When creating Invoices linked to Billing Accounts, even those that are not associated to SuiteBilling Subscriptions, you have to make sure that the Recurring Bill box is unchecked so that the Billing Account's Next Bill Cycle Date does not get updated.

Note that whenever a Billing Account is selected on the Invoice, the Recurring Bill box will be checked by default hence you will need to manually uncheck it when creating Invoices. If the Invoice is not meant to be associated to the Billing Account at all, you may also choose to leave the Billing Account field blank to avoid this problem. However, please take note as well that the Billing Account field on the Invoice will be populated automatically based on the Customer's default Billing Account.

Howdy, Stranger!
