If an item is returned in a 1 dozen 12-bottle package

How should NetSuite operate if there are a dozen items in a package of 12 and only one of them is returned?

The quantity is 1 because the item is registered as an inventory item containing 1 dozen 12-packs, but I don't know how to handle the case where only one of the dozen 12-packs is returned.
