NSC | How to create a Billing Schedule (Fixed Bid, Milestone) Dataset to show linked Transaction?

SCENARIO

User is tasked with creating a dataset in NetSuite to track billing schedules for fixed bid, milestone-based projects, and to show linked transactions, primarily sales orders. This dataset is crucial for the project management and finance teams to ensure that billing milestones are correctly linked to their corresponding sales orders or Invoices.

SOLUTION

1.) Click on Analytics

2.) Click New Data Set

3.) Select Billing Schedule

4.) For the  Criteria:

Select Project (Record List) > Billing Schedule (Subrecord list) > Type > Select Fixed Bid, Milestone

5.) In the Data Grid (result columns)

Billing Schedule (Record List) > Transaction ( this is the Sales Order or Invoice)
