FAM Disposal - What's the Quantity column for?

On the disposal of an asset page, there's a column for quantity and quantity to dispose. Is this quantity not just always 1?

I don't see any field on an asset record that mentions the quantity of an asset, in fact I ended up making my own field for quantity for this very reason.

IS there a quantity field? Or otherwise, in what situation would the quantity not be 1?
