NSC | Newly Created Locations Not Visible in Existing Item Records
Scenario:
When the Advanced Item Location Configuration feature is enabled in your NetSuite account, newly created locations are not automatically added to existing item records. This behavior is by design and gives users enhanced control over inventory management by allowing them to selectively associate items with specific locations.
Solution:
With this feature enabled:
- Locations must be manually assigned to item records.
- By default, only locations where item attributes have been configured and inventory activity has occurred (such as transactions) are displayed.
- This setup is standard in NetSuite and is intended to improve flexibility in managing inventory across multiple locations.
