New to NetSuite | How Enabling Features Create Accounts
When you first set up NetSuite, you may observe that new accounts appear in your Chart of Accounts as you enable certain features. This happens because NetSuite automatically creates the accounts your business needs for smooth financial management.
For example, when you turn on the Accounts Payable feature, NetSuite automatically sets up an “Accounts Payable” account. This account is important because it allows you to track all the money your company owes to vendors and suppliers. Depending on your version of NetSuite, this account may also be labeled “Acct Pay.” If you later decide to turn off the feature and then activate it again, NetSuite does not create a new account; the original account remains in place.
