Saved search field in workflow
I'm just checking the limitations of using a saved search field within a workflow. I fear that this is not possible in the same way that it cannot be used to show result in another search.
The scenario is that we have set a flag called "XXX Approver" on an employee record. The idea is that a workflow will look up this value via the search to identify the email addressee to advise of a record pending approval. This is not returning a value for the email.
Questions:
- is there a way to make this work?
- is there an alternate way to source the email address?
