Hi Steve, Good post. I've been learning the hard way how to handle leads from forms. All now created as individuals (also mistakenly started with Companies and updates). I find de-duping, merging etc. a real nightmare. No perfect solution but the advantage to me of new Individuals, apart from not mucking around with…

Does this actually attach a file to emails, or just to the campaign record? (Would definitely like to attach to emails, if possible.)
So come on NS. At least give us decent stopgap solutions by enabling decent integration with third-party solutions, starting with marketing communications, analytics, and site search.
I'd also love to see a blogging platform integrated in NS, both for webstores and CRM. WordPress seems pretty good and…

Almost at the three-year milestone with NS, and still deeply frustrated by major and fundamental shortcomings in marketing automation, which seem extraordinary with NS promoted for its CRM credentials. True, we're not yet on 2007.0, but reports on the user group make me dread another "making progress, but still a long way…
-
Is this possible/customisable? Defaults do seem lacking. (Maybe a workaround option for some needs to use saved searches and alerts.)
-
I've ranted myself blue in the face about this several times before but get the impression no one is listening. Don't suppose anyone has managed to get an enhancement request # to place a vote on this? (Firmly believe it is our responsibility - and risk - as data manager to police data protection, Not NetSuite's as service…

Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling? Worked for me. (You also might need to select in Outlook > Tools > Options > Other > Advnaced Options... > COM Add-Ins... > NetSuite for Outlook after the reinstall. For me, the addin was recently flagged as causing an Outlook crash -- COM Add-ins are notorious for causing probs,…

Maybe silly, but have you got the Login values loaded in fully (id, pw and A/c#)
-
The *new* form might be defaulting to the *popup*. We have both heavily customised, with the latter used for new records (leaves off the longer term, relationship stuff etc. and tries not to frighten sales). V.11 also introduced the facility to designate different forms for Leads and Prospects (should be good for…

I'm working on pre-populating online forms from the url but hitting probs and limits and was wondering if anyone really knows the score here:

Is there any way to pre-populate online forms with data from custom fields?
I seem to recall an NS tutorial on how they handle customer surveys but can't find it now.…

Yang -- did you post something?

Never satisfied...is it possible to script merges, e.g. revise subject or copy based on contents of field(s)? Can be done in MS Word. Would reduce number of merge groups needed for some exercises, e.g. payment due in 30 days, payment due now, payment overdue account at risk
-
Not sure if it helps, but you now have the option with online forms to include them with an NS-generated website or post them as standalone pages (with a netsuite.com url, I think). Big improvement with v.11 Workflow is pretty good, but integration with contact records is still non-existent, although you may be able to use…

We've been using eFax from the UK for the last couple of years. Seems OK from within NS but *just another* online fax service from an end-user perspective. (Same company as J2/Jfax underneath.) We use several other services as well, and also have an Exchange email alias for distributing. Seems to work well enough, though…

We're down (no system access or web presence) and least two other NS-hosted UK websites that I know of (though another two are still up). Nice to know what's going on...
-
Back up...
-
UK x 2 is really irritating, System appears to default to the (GB) one as far as I can tell. Haven't fully figured how this impacts searches, reports etc. Not sure where the other United Kingdom is... ;-}
-
Hi Andy

Subscribe as default -- can anyone point Andy to a script/technique for doing this; pretty sure I've heard it can be done with online forms? Australia and UK both seem to suffer this madness.
Download file after registering -- do test carefully. We tried this in 11.3 and hit a system bug that…

Hi Jon, we've resorted to excluding estimates from forecasts due to this. Not a big deal for us but still makes things rather disconnected. We have used "omit from forecast", too, but this can be a bit hairy if overlooked and forecasts then prove to be ropey.
-
We can definitely revisit an Opp to edit the "Projected Total" as Admin (and other Roles). The only related non-edited field is "Weighted Total" (haven't quite figured the slightly eccentric equation here!) I'm wildly wondering if you're maybe facing a system setup restriction related to forecasting but out of my depth to…
-
You mean worst case, commit and best case ?. Those are the ones, though we customize them differently.
-
The equation is - total value * % at the stage. Sorry, Ray, was being unclear -- I meant in actual forecast reports, i.e. for the three levels of confidence.
-
Ray, thanks -- you guys certainly seem to push NS for your site, but what I have in mind is even more direct, right on each page there would be a clearly demarcated portlet/widget containing a field for an email address, check boxes for newsletters and a submit button. (I could live with adding a company field to keep NS…

In case you're after the same as me (Ray provided the iframe tip): https://usergroup.netsuite.com/users/showthread.php?t=813&highlight=iframe

what your seeing is a netsuite form that has been iframed and goes directly into our crm system at www.skyytek.com Ray: certainly looks promising so will give it a whirl. Thx
-
NS is remarkably weak on newsletter/marcoms support, probably because NS itself doesn't seriously bother with them (which is odd). Newsletter creation should be fine, even good, but subscription signup, management and fulfilment are abysmal/nonexistent. Ridiculous... I'm finally ready to risk trying to implement…
-
If I am understanding your correctly, you can iframe the form to do what you need however. We do this with one of our subsiduaries http://www.eenterprise.com/trial.html ; what your seeing is a netsuite form that has been iframed and goes directly into our crm system at www.skyytek.com. Ray: thanks -- I've tested this with…
-
Fiddly but you might be able to use Web Custom Tags as a workaround. Pretty sure I've heard of others doing this but not tested myself in this context. VOTE for enhancement 69887 to get this lifted (just send a Support Request with the subject -- Vote for Enhancement 69887 to lift 4k limit on html asap). Personally, I'd…

We are reviewing this enhancement for our 11.5 release. It is enhancement number 69887. If this is important to your business, please let support know that this enhancement is important to you. Baruch: thanks again. Vote submitted and fingers crossed. On a related point, I recently went to workshop where research was…

Maybe as simple as updating the domain DNS record to point to the relevant mail server, or use some form of mail forwarding as offered by most better domain registrars. (Not clear on level of support offered within NS for secondary/parked domains.)
