Is anyone having a problem saving emails to cases since the last upgrade? We are getting an unexpected error - even after uninstalling and reinstalling (thinking it may be the changes made to synchronization). Thanks for any insight here.
-
FYI There is, indeed, a defect that, according to NetSuite, will be fixed in the next maintenance upgrade. Ours is schedule for this evening.

Hi! Did you ever figure this one out? We are trying to get employees (and/or subsets) into the NS address book in Outlook. Thanks, Ellen.
-
Thanks, Justin. I'll work on it.
-
Thanks for everyone's help. Justin - do you have to put a Company on the contact record for your employees? I don't seem to be able to even update the NS address book in Outlook without it. Putting our Company in the Company name on the employee contact record then makes a bit of a mess out of the "Name" field elsewhere.…

No problem, Dave! It's a bit tricky - you and I both probably thought that the recurring record was creating a record each time it recurred - that appears only true if you edit that recurrence on the calendar - it goes away if you do not edit it. For instance, we have some audit events that occur daily. Those that are…
-
Ours was a user issue. When in Calendar mode, you can choose the icon "edit this date". When you edit just that date the record is saved for that date and the recurring record is left intact (so that the next recurrence remains). That's how we are using it to indicate that audit events have occurred. I hope that helps.

Right. We would like to use email confirmations as a method of verifying approvals to certain employee information. However, we do not want this email available to all employee through the corresponding contact record. We do not have an option of syncing just to an employee record.
-
Hi again! I am signed on as an administrator. There is no "Edit this date" button. I only have "Edit", "New", "Make Copy", "Print". If I choose "Edit" there is no "Save this date" either.... Your help here is greatly appreciated. We want to use this ability to track our internal audit tasks.

Thanks, Karl. I'll give it a try and let you know. I was hoping I was doing something wrong! Ellen

Hello! Did you ever get the message field from an event to show in a saved search? Short of copying it via a script to a custom field, I don't see that NS is allowing this on either searching or reporting. I know your message is old but I was hoping you found a solution. Thanks in advance.

Thanks, Karl.

Time The key here for us is being able to allocate wages for salaried employees to jobs by service item....
-
Thanks but it seems I can not get to this link - perhaps if you know the subject I can search for it.
-
Ah ha! Thanks, Evan. Seems to be working now!
-
Hmmm. We're on 2008.1. I'll try again and let you know.

{employee.primaryearningamount} Pop that in a formula (currency or numeric) and you get an Invalid expression. I even tried letting the help tool pop it in.

Average totals are now showing but they are not correct. Thanks for the inquiry as I had not noticed that this was put in place. I will file a defect with NetSuite. We previously worked around this by creating summary searches that appeared with portlets below the detail portlet so that it looked like totals to the users.
-
Thanks, Evan. I was hoping you would answer. I figured if anyone knew you would. Is there a work around you could see? Exporting to Excel is something we are trying to reduce. I have opened a case with NS.
-
Right - That's an option and reconciling back to be sure that the calcs work correctly without the groupings. Thanks for your help. Seems that since the calcs are there it would not be much of a stretch to show them. We'll see what the response is from the case I opened.

Hi again! I've discovered the answer: {durationdecimal} is the field to be used for calculations. I hope this helps others that may be new to NS.
-
Hi! Thank you for your response. I've created a Saved Search through Lists>Search>Saved Searches. I filtered by duration greater than 0 to avoid divide errors. I have a results list and want to include a calculation on duration. When my original calculation (custom field/duration) did not work, I tested the custom field…
-
Thanks, Evan. Interestingly, the case I filed came back with a response that your folks cannot replicate the problem. I'll work through with them and see where the disconnect lies.
-
Thanks, Evan. The case number is 586713.

Hello - I know this original post is old but I have a similar question with summary searches. I am getting an unexpected error when I try to drill down on the Employee that is a grouped field. There is a weighted average calculation I am doing on the time it takes to do a task v. a standard rate. I am grouping the time by…

Thanks, everyone. I see what I missed. If you look at the employee center role it appears that the form is accessible but with testing in that role, the only form that is used is the one marked preferred. Ellen
-
Thanks, Evan. I need to be able to restrict the form for an Employee Center role - it seems to allow all CRM forms (in this case I want to restrict the Event form we have created) without a way to disable access. What am I missing?

Hello! This may not be quite the right forum, however, I have a question about the activities that show in the contract:employee form. We want to save approval emails to the employee record. If we do it through Outlook Integration, we have to save to the contact record and everyone can see these emails. Any other solutions…

Thanks again, Evan!

It's me again. The workaround works fine if you are in edit mode but if you are in view mode you can see the "hidden" fields on the case form. Since these are pay rates (for outside processing) it is a problem. The task form is even worse in that it shows all of the fields regardless of whether the entry form shows them or…
