Hi Derec V odd. I've created a custom view for the activities tab. When I created the view, the results tab gives me a drop-down list - and it gives me assigned to, company, contact, date, date completed, date created, etc. So if the task doesn't have a date completed, what is the system using for a date when it puts a…

Hi Evan I've been working on this with Mo and the customer care case # is 807913. The workaround we're using is to disable the individual events tab and use only the activities tab (which groups tasks, calls & events). Cheers!

Wierd. It's working today, no problem. cannot recreate. wierd.
-
wierder still. it comes and goes. and not just me - it's happening to all the reps. any ideas anyone?
-
Figured it out. the discount code I was using was the standard discount item that comes pre-configured with NS. Apparently it is pre-configured with a number of flags (like perhaps Posting item?) that I cannot access because we don't have the accounting side of thing turned on. I created a brand new discount item, used…

This is something I would like to see in NS as well. Has anyone logged this as an enhancement request that I can "vote" for?
-
has indeed been fixed in 2008.2
-
Any update on this? Now that we're in the middle of 4th qtr?
-
Customer Care Case # is 643789.
-
No - where?

Thank you evan. Got a bit more research to do on how these tags work it seems. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction - I like being wrong sometimes!:p

Hi Ken That's great the country-specific behaviour is removed. And, there are customers outside the UK and the US... The point I was trying to make is that a great deal of the spam control that is in NS is not specific to countries. It's system-wide. So whatever spam prevention measures are being incorporated into the…
-
Netsuite Instead of trying to be all things to all men and copping a hiding in the process, why not: 1) Encourage the higher-ups to acknowledge that the US does not really create the rules for how the rest of the world operates. (Don't tell George though...) What I mean by this is that each country sets its own rules for…

I haven't made myself clear, based on the responses posted. I'm looking for a way to see which groups a company or contact belongs to, while viewing the dashboard or the entity record itself. That groups could be in a list on a subtab, or a field on the display somewhere. I can create a search which tells me which…

Hi, Sorry about the delay in responding. we've been working around the problem, due to time constraints but the workaround involves using the old system which had no security! Not much of a workaround... What additional info do you need? Your question seems rather open-ended when you don't know where to start looking. Maggi

Pardon my reference to departments. In our installation, departments and sales teams are called by the same name, hence the confusion. I understand products are in departments, not customers. I have 2 teams. Each team has a "sales rep" role. I have 2 groups of "Sales team", with the reps included in the appropriate group.…

Did you ever figure this out? I'm having the same head-bashing session. Surely must be there, but it's hiding...

Given that this is such an important "feature" of the product, it seems the cart got before the horse here. Surely the 2007.1 release shouldn't have been released without this! This has unwittingly, caused a rather large grumbling point to NS from an otherwise relatively satisfied customer base. Big bungle, IMHO. Hopefully…

Quite right. Outlook integration was one of our *key* requirements for a CRM solution. Had we understood up front the integration with Outlook was abysmal to non-existent, we would have gone elsewhere. caveat emptor... We have one workstation left running Outlook 2003 and still can't get standard sync to work after a month…

Swalker007, it's because no software house will be tied down to when software will be released. It's not just NS - it's standard practice. The lack of responses may also be that the staff don't have any more information to share...

Workaround no go - bummer. Get message "Could not find record with Internal ID =" and then the internal id. manually changed all the long company names to shorter names, then back after import. Painful, tedius, but the notes are in
-
Yes, I did John. But thank you - sometimes the tiniest things can trick you! Dunno what the deal was, I've done the manual bit and moved onto other data migration issues. Appreciate your responses!
-
Thanks John. Will try your suggestion as the workaround. case filed: 652044

Examples of the long names: ABC Widgets Australia (acq. ACME Electronics) Consolidated Refrigerations Company (CRC) Australia Alice and Cheshire Books (frmly Lewis Carroll Books) Flintstone Credit Pty Ltd (a GE Capital Finance Company) and so on. I have no problems creating these long company names or even importing them,…

was an "undocumented feature" in the system which has been rectified in 2008.2. :)
-
Elham, you're a genious. An Einstein. Bless you! Now it's working just like I want it to - Thank you!! Don't know what I did wrong before, when I tried to use the entity field, but it's working. Yippee!
-
Hi Hazel, Something funky for sure. Now I can't recreate it. Maybe something was wierd in my cache, which I've cleared since. Dunno. If i can recreate it again, will do as requested.
-
How did you get your case resolved? I'm having the same trouble and was hoping you might be able to share some hard-learned wisdom...
-
Still, it wouldn't be that hard for NS employees to make some "sticky" forum postings for best practices. that would certainly make it easier for folks to find those diamonds, and likely provide an enhanced experience for anyone using the forum.

2. Are certain sections or modules slower than the core system? 3. Other than bandwidth, how can we optimize our browsers, PCs, network hardware/software? IMHO 2 - the speed "issue" is consistent across the board. 3 - (I admit I'm not techie, but) I wonder if the problem is not the software or systems, rather the "size" of…
