There is absolutely no reason that a Netsuite Website cannot have a number one ranking. I have thousands of number one rankings. My products even rank higher than the manufacturers. There are a few tricks to get it all to work in Netsuite but there is no reason you cannot be number one for any term that you put enough work…

Hi Darren, My relationship with Interactive Innovations is much like the relationship that we have with many other Netsuite Solution Providers. In this case they know SEO and we know Netsuite. We have worked together by combining the two areas of expertise and developing applications and strategies that work in the real…

I create our RSS feeds from hand because the netsuite RSS feeds utitlity is very limited. To do the best job you might consider creating your basic feed in FeedBurner.com. Remember this is a company aquired by Google and it helps with indexing feeds and tracking subscriptions. It is also very useful for formatting your…

I have sub-domained my images and they are indexed in Google Image Search. Easier, less expensive, more effective. Same with PDF's Kyle
-
farrago is correct. Any images that are placed outside of the "site" directory will have cryptic url's and google will not index the images properly. Ex.http://wwww.yoursite.com/core/media/media.nl?id=899&c=788689&h=a7f45cf9c25e7dd757b2 The other option is to sub domain your pictures and other documents.…

Subdomain your images, host them elsewhere, name them right, change the item template to have the store description as the alt attribute, and title. Google will index the images. images.yourdomain.com It works and it is much less expensive then the hosting services in Netsuite. Just do it.
-
Subdomains are carry the same weight to search engines as subdirectories. There are numerous blogs from Matt Cutts from Google to support this. Subdomain all of your images and host them on say Godaddy. Extremely inexpensive. This way you can also subdomain product docs as well. images.yoursite.com/coolpicture.jpg…

Sunil, Maybe the crawl delay in the robots.txt file is causing some problems. There are some Free Site Map generators out there that will generate html, xml, and txt sitemaps whereby you can control the crawling speed. Just a thought. Have a great day.
-
Stephen, I have coded a crawl robot that will index your site and create all of the corresponding site maps; XML(Google), TXT (Yahoo), HTML(Everyone else). There are many problems trying to create a site map in Netsuite. Crawl delay in the robots.txt file, threading issues, etc. I have written code that can "get around"…

Hi Vicki, I have looked at your websites and there are a lot of SEO techniques that can help you: I will give you some tips: Tip #1: Change the title of your site to have the keyterms in the front of the title and have relevent key terms to a search a customer would do: Ex: Your title now: eBodyboarding.com online pro…

Hi Fraser, Your question is one I have as well. I had placed this code on the order confirmation page for conversion data but there are problems with doing it this way. "The problem is that the cookie which identifies the visitor, referral and session is associated with the web domain of your store, and don't get…

www.ecommercesenses.com and www.suitecommerce.com have solutions for this. One problem lies in passing the data from http https. You can add some jsp coding to the google code but this will not completely solve your problem. There are several threads in the forums on this topic. Thanks

I have tested this and when your upload pictures (JPEG) using IE it will import them as PJPEG. These are unusable inside of the context of Netsuite. We had to reimport all of our pictures that were PJPEG to JPEG buy using Firefox.

ilan1948, We also run several web stores with Netsuite. We have thousands of first place rankings in google for our products and some of them are common between websites. Your page title and meta-data description and keywords should be the name (common name, manufacturer name, SKU, MPN, etc.) of the product or service you…

Brion, Ex. <meta name="keywords" content="European Foods, Irish Tea, European Coffee, keyterm 3," /> <meta name="description" content="European food, tea, coffee and imported goods store" /> H tags are header tags: EX: <h1>European Foods</h1> <h2>Irish Tea</h2> <b>AMCO Tea </b> CSS Cascading Style Sheets Controls page…

Brion, You need to change the field "Page Title". This will overwrite the page title (automatically generated from your descriptive url). This creates the: <title>Your Title</title> tags for your web page (title at the top). It seems that you are changing the "Label" field. This also applies to tabs as well. You should…

Brion, <meta name="keywords" content="Keyword 1, keyword 2, keyword 3, keyterm 3" /> <meta name="description" content="Keyword 1, keyword 2, keyword 3 and human style 3 word description" /> Make sure to always have your key terms in front of your title, url component, meta-tags, link-image attributes and page content.…

Sorry for the broken link. This is a beta site for us and we are changing the url-parameters around right now and designing the output to create SEO optimized pages for all of the possible configurations. If anyone is interested in this type of technology please contact us at: kyle@satcomresources.com Thanks

Remove the meta-tags from the setup page. They will be duplicated on all pages and this is not good. Add the particular Meta-Tags to the items, tabs, and categories. This will give you one clean set of Meta-Tags. I have also developed some seo tools that will import the store description into the meta-tag. Dynamic but I…

We have developed a product configurator for Netsuite. It will work for any configurations and it is not limited to using Matrix items. Weight has been there for a while but it still does not help with getting accurate freight quotes. The real problem is that you can only associate 1 default package to a product. Most companies including mine do not ship every item in a default package. If for example you have a default package that has a maximum of 5…

mhuffman, Our "estimate shipping" feature in our hosted Netsuite Website is returning much higher shipping estimates for the same item, customer, shipping item than if calculated on the sales order. Does Netsuite use a different calculation (actual shipping rates vs negotiated rates for example) when using the "estimate…
-
Hi Angela, Thank you for your comments, very much appreciated. I have our preferences set to negotiated rates. I was very curious about fuel surcharges as well, I assumed however that the data coming back from Fed-Ex would add this charge. I have run many tests on shipping items using the "Packages Feature" and "Insure…
-
I have set up "Packages" that have dimensions and then associated the item on the sales order to the "Package". This in my understanding will send dimensional data to the real time carrier and "more accurately calculate the real time rate". After testing and changing the dimensions of the package and then recalculating the…
