Awesome. Knowing that "public" saved searches really will not become public to all roles is a big relief.
-
We will also look at the situations where public is required and try to limit or eliminate them. Thanks, -e For me, Alerts would be candidate #1. Alerts are a fantastic way for management, especially when traveling, to manage the business. While it is a relief that customers/vendors/partners don't have access to "public"…

Problem ended up being the fact that we were using a dense list to show solutions. This is what caused the error. As of 11.0.6, seems the KB (at least ours) only likes item/category layouts. Fix: 1. Go to Lists > Web Site > Tabs 2. Click Edit next to KB tab 3. In the Item List Layout field, select Default 4. Click Save…

OK, here's another crazy thing: - clicking through the topic hierarchy, getting to the solution, yields unexpected error. Link: system.netsuite.com/app/center/center.nl/ctype.KBit.I/id.993/KB.51/.f?sc=16&category=8 - Finding the link via a search actually works. Link:…

Did no one else who upgraded to 11.0.6 have 100% of the links to their solutions in a published knowledge base broken and no way to fix? Any ideas?
-
I, too, and having weird issues on scheduled reports: - scheduled reports are not being sent out at the same time every day (seem to advance one hour per day?) - reports that used to work fine before last week suddenly started showing "No Data". CSR said that the report needed to be rebuilt because of upgrades. We are not…

So I went through and deleted the parent, saved, and re-added the parent, and the customer records sort themselves out. The customer #s originally started with 99. Somehow, when they were changed (child or parent), something about the link between the two was not updated automatically, I'm guessing, and that is why they…

How do we get our saved report listing to go back to nothing, and rebuild like the recent reports menu link? I have way too many to even see the top of the list, and most of them I went to once... Thanks Jennifer It would be nice to be able to group them in folders. Does anyone know if an enhancement has been logged to…

There are a couple reasons the data appears this way. Kit items have one revenue line - the account is defined on the kit item record and is not associated with the member items. The cost lines (asset/COGS for inventory, or just expense for non-inventory) are associated with the member items, but not the kit. So the…
-
OK this is probably going to sound too basic but can someone please explain how to create the report that will allow me to view just the sales by item by customer including those members items inside of kits? Unless I have missed something, NetSuite still has yet to figure out how to handle kits as relates to profitability…

I'm confused. Hundreths is infinitely preferable for us, and saves us lots of time when we do calculations in Excel, etc. I assumed it was preferable for everyone else as well, and that hundredths was the accepted standard, and that is why NetSuite has done it the way they have done it.

Thanks, e, as always. I will try to do a formula for max date on the purchase dates field and see how that works. EDIT: Purchase Dates (in a customer search) is only a filter, not a result column. Chose (in filter) Transaction Type = Sales Order, Transaction-Main Line = True, and then in Results put in Transaction Date…

Yes, if you search in help for Code Names then you'll see under the Guides section a page that lists them all. Thanks, Erik Thanks, I did find that. But given that nowhere in the code names do I see the very one that evan mentioned - "{customer.firstorderdate}" or "firstorderdate". Thus, either I am missing something, the…

I believe: Date of First Order looks at Transaction Type = Sales Order Date of First Sale looks at Transaction Type = Cash Sale / Invoice
-
You would able to do that with a formula search field - something like {trandate}-{customer.firstorderdate} And test that value > 0. Unfortunately there is no first order date search field. I just added it for the october maintenance release (we maintain that info just didn't expose it in search). Thanks, -e Is there a…
-
E, while you are at it, could you look at adding "Most Recent Order Date" somewhere? The only area I find something like this is under Item - Last Transaction Date in Reports, but I can't seem to get this working at all? Otherwise, any ideas for finding most recent order/sale date?
-
I take it this is different to the 'Keyword Marketing Module' which seems to have been announced and or launched this week apparently at 'at no extra charge'? (in Information Week) What is the difference between these two modules? Richard I don't get it either. Not only can I not access the webinar - the link on the…

For assemblies, we manually input into the purchase price field. Suboptimal, as we would prefer that it is calculated/updated, but it works. For kits, there is no purchase price field at all, so it means that our javascript that calculates gross margin on sales orders returns a big goose egg on kits, which makes the whole…

We are still having these problems. Anyone have a solution that will allow us to nip this one? Hi there. We are having a problem when, fulfilling an order, NetSuite will allow us to duplicate the item fulfillment. It seems to happen whenever our internet, or NetSuites servers, are running slow. This creates a major problem…

Update on the Enhancement Request? Would love to see that javascript, JMU!

My weekly rant. NetSuite, can someone please let me know why I can't initiate a second batch process on transactions that do not overlap in any way with a currently (slow) running batch process?
-
Just want to follow up and give credit where it is due. I can now put a 2nd bulk processing job in the queue. And the speed of the processing seems to have been dramatically improved. I'm a happy camper! Thanks!
-
EDIT: I found out that it only occurs if you try to re-process a transaction that is currently part of a bulk processing job. Specifically, I had a big CC processing job; one Sales Order got rejected, I fixed it and re-tried it as part of a second bulk processing job, and this is when I get the rejection. If I do a…

Thanks so much for the clarification. Good to know that in 2007 I will be able to queue up a second batch - even if under 25 transactions. Also good to know that I wasn't going totally batty - that it would work sometimes, and not others. Don't think this magic 25 transaction limit was ever documented anywhere I could…

Processing CC and invoices, and I'm getting the following error. "This Account is already running a bulk processing job. Please visit the status page to track the progress of the current job." It strikes me that this is new. And I don't understand. Why can't I queue a second job to sit in line behind the current processing…
-
We are also experiencing painfully slow bulk process (charge credit cards, create invoice batches, fulfillments) compared to speeds we experienced over the past 18 months. I know you are working on it, but the fix won't come a moment too soon...
-
Thanks for the issue update. I'll cross my fingers and hope that: - we gain the ability to put 2+ bulk processing jobs in a queue - the hardware upgrade / bulk processing optimization that Evan discussed in March 2007 will kick in sometime soon, so that we can at least get back to speeds that we had in 2006.
-
Well at least I'm the only one. However, still no love, as NetSuite has gone silent on this issue, which I still do not understand. Big bummer.
-
Do we have an update on timeframe for NetSuite to allocate additional resources to at least get speeds for bulk bill back to where they were? It is still unacceptably slow. I am getting 2 per minute on bulk bill credit card charges this AM (we use Payflow Pro). Wow...

Just want to follow up and give credit where it is due. I can now put a 2nd bulk processing job in the queue. And the speed of the processing seems to have been dramatically improved. I'm a happy camper! Thanks! OK I am confused again (certainly not the first time). Today I can't put a second bulk billing job in the queue.…
