Thank you for the suggestions Frédéric!

Thanks for the information on the date/time fields. I am beginning work on some processes that involve gap in days between certain transactions and changes to transactions. This will save me considerable time and frustration.
-
It would be great if you could average those sums correctly when grouping for example close rates by department.

SOLVED The problem that I experienced was that the escaped sequenced greater than and less than signs in the XML string from the third party were causing nlapiStringToXML to error out. I ended up converting the escaped signs to literal signs, < and > instead of < and > using the replace…

Thanks for the suggestion on encodeURIComponent(). I needed to do just the opposite. I tried using decodeURI() and decodeURIComponent(). I even tried the deprecated unescape function. All to no avail. Fortunately, the replace method worked.

All payments, including down payments are entered through web services from a third party system. The third party system has no object to map to a deposit and so all down payments are entered via web services prior the invoice to which they need to be applied. The invoice arrives at the closure of the project. I was…
-
Thanks for the feedback. I have this working with a workflow that triggers on new invoice creation through web services and a work flow action script. The apply function was very simple since the potential invoices pre-populate the apply list.
-
Thanks for the suggestion. I considered the customer deposit; however, the front office system is not NetSuite. Sale orders are created and managed through a field service management system. Payments are collected through the same system. That system has no object to map to the deposit object in NetSuite.

Thanks for info on bundle 212. Unfortunately, it contains no objects and has no effect when I install it. Not sure why.
-
Can't agree more.
-
Thanks for the update and enhancement number 120218. I'm sure there will be several parties interested in reporting items and web categories.
-
Please see Enhancement 161474 and vote for it if you would the option to consolidate the checkout process. Thanks, Chuck Andrews
-
Thanks Daniel - Were you able to find any NetSuite docs on restlets?
-
Thanks very much for the information. I got the report working with a filter to match the PO vendor with item.othervendor and used item.vendorcost to audit the price on the vendor bill.

NetSuite support has confirmed that the failure to round the total values (bottom line) of the search is a defect. Defect#159205
-
Depending on the underlying data, sometimes the total rounds, sometimes it doesn't. More often it is the latter. There has been a defect created to address the issue. 159205
-
I am having the same issue with rounding of the totals. This should follow the same format as the data. This is what I get using "Round to the Hundredths" Average Age 1 1.2 17 1.5 12.2 1.2 7.6 1.97019104 Functions are not applied to the summary value.
-
The defect is still listed in SuiteIdeas but only has 19 votes. Don't hold your breath.

Defect # 159205 - Lists> Search > Saved Searches > New: Rounding applied to a column/field on the Results tab is not respected by the Total line
-
I reported it earlier this week and it is under investigation. I suggest you open a case and refer to it. I believe it will be addressed but don't know the priority at this point.

al3xicon - The re-opening of a sales order line item that is a kit item has been fixed in 2017.1. When the line item is re-opened and saved, the line commits correctly rather than going to back order as it did before the fix. cgieselman - I do see that the commit column is grayed out for the kit line item. I didn't report…
-
Here's some news al3xicon - I've been working with NS support on testing scenarios and this is related to the kits. In testing, the reopening of a line item that is a kit results in the item qty going to back order despite available stock at the location involved. Also, when we attempt to reallocate items, we cannot check…
-
Thanks for the reply. We found that under Reallocate Items, we were not able to check the order in question to change committed qty from 0 to 1. I think the issue may be related to the fact that the item is contained within a kit or that the item had already been billed. Not sure which yet.
-
Thanks for the insight on the kit vs. inventory item. It's helpful to know that you saw this with inventory items. The first thing I tried when troubleshooting was deleting the related invoice. That didn't resolve the issue so I figured it wasn't billing related. I opened a case with NetSuite. I hope there is a solution.

Great question - I brought this NetSuite months ago and have seen no movement. If I am willing to take the risk, the method should be supported. As indicated in this thread, it is much more cost effective. Issue/idea# 152461 - currently has 98 users representing. Gap was reported in 2008.

We are tracking this feature request in Enhancement 395072 : Add USPS First Class Commercial Parcel as a shipping method. You can vote for this by submitting an online case with your details or via SuiteIdeas. Enhancement 395072 is a duplicate of 152461 since there is no distinction in the weight limit on this rate…

When creating saved searches, IE9 has very slow responses when specifying filter criteria, adding joined fields, and working with formulas. Specifically, the pop up windows and drop-down lists render very slowly. Has anyone else experienced this?
-
I've used SPS Commerce (www.spscommerce.com) in the past and been very happy with the results. In addition to the integration with NetSuite, they have a very good relationship with most of the trading partners we were working with (or trying to bring on). They are definetely worth checking out.

I can't believe you can't report on a users timezone. Incorrect settings could lead to transactions posting to the wrong date. Especially late in the day. Is the ability to report on this and other critical settings at least an enhancement under consideration?

Our system is down as well. Anyone know what's up?
