Andy, I set up a saved search (is active, supervisor is unassigned - was my need) then used that as an alert.

Maybe remove that field from the form your employee users use, and make it default to "pending", then on the forms the supervisors use, make it available to select. The custom record help PDF will help you, thats where my advice comes from, you will find that guide very useful - good luck ;) .

When you setup your custom record you can create 2 different forms, one for employee centre role, one for others. On the form the employee role is using just uncheck the "show" tickbox next to the field you want to hide. That help pdf is wanting to help you, take it to bed with you and let the dreams begin :p .

If you know the number of the calendar then you can create the shortcut, example; https://system.netsuite.com/app/crm/calendar/calendar.nl?ccal=78 With 78 being the calendar you want, if you have the users calendar on screen look for the number in the url.

Not sure if this is the right spot but; I am looking at my list of solutions. I sort by code. They display as follows; 1 2 20 21 22 3 4 41 42 43 5 what I want is; 1 2 3 4 5 20 21 22 41 42 43 How do I get them to display in the correct order? (when I count from 1 to 100, 5 comes before 22).

One thing I find to be destroying my vision is the way once you "pick" and add a permission to a role, it still remains in the list of options to pick again. Why not just remove it from the available options if it's already been selected? I am voting with you mshuman!

This is good. Is there a reason why it appears on cases as (subtab) interactions and then on custom records as mail merge? Should the UI be similar on both or am I missing something? If there is some reason to take a new tact each time then thats great but otherwise can it just be standard?

Not sure, but could you copy the internal ID on save into a custom field and maybe place "Task" (or something) in front of the number?

It's true, Custom Centers and Custom Roles are not as easy as they should be! IMHO a big improvement would be if you add a permission (or list,report,etc) to a Role, then that value should no longer appear in the available options to select. I have no idea why they make it so hard... It is worth the effort though.

I find you can "stimulate" NetSuite to show the records by going to the create new bar and adding all your custom records in, then they appear straight away.. hope that helps
