Hello Community! Josh Maxwell, a User Experience Researcher for NetSuite Foundation has fun a question for you. Imagine for a moment that NetSuite had an assistant like Alexa or Siri. What would you ask of your NetSuite assistant? Use this survey link to share your top questions to the assistant.
Here are some examples to get your creative juices flowing.
"Did I pay vendor John Doe last month?"
"Take me to my largest sales order for this month."
"What invoices haven't been paid yet?"

Hi @Adam W Would it not be easier for you to do a sandbox refresh?

Hi @User_EPWHS Having separate locations for each driver is a recommended way as it provides ease of tracking at any point and enables easier stock takes when needed. This is assuming the drivers keep this stock with them at all times and not each time they go out, returning unused items at the end of the day.

Hi @User_PXSOY Can you check following two points: 1, Does the item subsidiary match the subsidiary of the selected entity on the quote? 2. Open the quote form and under sublist fields, check if the Items are filtered by a saved search. If they are, open the selected saved search and check its criteria against your items.
-
Hi @Benjamin Paul - USA That makes sense yes. You’re wanting to continue sending replies via the gmail UI and not NS. I’ve not tested this and would suggest testing it or exploring the suggestion from @Vishnu M
-
Hi @Erez Storch You could try using an email alert for this. This is done by creating a saved search as follows: Create new search of Type = Transaction Criteria: Type = Purchase Order Criteria: mainline = True Criteria: System Notes Fields…Field = Create Results: set any fields as required. Email: Send emails when records…
-
Hi @Kent K. I think I’d agree you need a script to make it work. But just to highlight that. Et suite has a standard feature calls Customer Part Number that would work for you meaning less customisation.
-
Hi @Benjamin Paul - USA I can’t understand what is happening your end with reference to “When an email arrives in Gmail, it launches the Gmail application and does not open NetSuite”. But your steps are exactly what I observe when I send a PO email using a gmail email address on the employee record in NetSuite. Emailed to…
-
hi @Benjamin Paul - USA I’m not sure requirements for connecting to a mailer. But if your gmail email address is on your employee record then you send an email out to vendor, the response will be captured in both gmail and NetSuite so long as the vendor doesn’t break the chain.
-
just to add the thread and history continues as long as the vendor does not break the email link e.g typing a To email address from scratch. This loses the link to the NetSuite record emails originated from.

might need someone with experience implementing EDI. I’m still early in my project and still to have the initial meeting with EDI partner.
-
Hi @User_64PY4 There are a few suite answers articles you can follow: ID: 9965 ID: 31638 ID: 37711
-
hi @brocha I am starting an implementation project with similar requirements and I referred my clone tot an EDI partner (Truecommerce) but there’s many out there. Unless you have the resource to build this I would suggest an EDI partner.
-
@User_WL6KG I have no experience with construction but the question is a bit vague. Could you maybe detail what you want to achieve (the business problem) then suggestions may come up?
-
Hi @Vernita I can see why due to the field being mandatory. An option would be to set this field value on the custom field level and not using a workflow. The setup is similar to the steps I sent for your other thread:
-
Hi @Vernita I also reproduced what you're experiencing but could not find a way around it btu see 'related' enhancements recorded. Here's how you can achieve the results you want without the workflow: Go to Customization > Lists, Records & Fields > Transaction Body fields > New. Enter a field name you prefer. Set Type =…
-
Hi @Edi838 Of the group is for customers getting the free shipping offer then would it not be easier to exclude the customers you mention from the saved search behind the dynamic group?
-
hi @Vernita Have you tried setting location value before/ after record submit? In your scenario it might be that since this is a new unsaved record the customer record has not been edited.
-
Hi @Prince Lenin Might be obvious but have you shared the bundle with your production account?
-
HI @CK Job Maybe try importing all the pricing and vendors you want there but in your import setup check the 'override sublists' option.
-
Try using criteria Mainline = True for either the filter top level or join fields as I’m not sure which side you’re seeing multiple records. You can also set the following to false: Tax Line COGS Line Shipping Line
-
Hi Go to your transaction saved search. Open Criteria tab. Add a criteria line by searching for Type. From the pop-up form select Return Authorisation from the picklist. Add a criterial line by searching for Applied To Transaction fields… On the pop-up form select Type in the picklist. Once selected, you can now select a…
-
it’ll only you set a specific sales order in the join field. My suggestion above is to use Applied To Transaction : Type
-
Hi @Amanda Edwards Just to understand you correctly: Example… you have 3 PO’s All PO’s created by multiple users. when you bill all PO’s you want all bills to have one PO creator? Or you want the correct PO Creators on each bill but some bills are not being populated?
-
hi @User_B6T7M I think you need join field Applied to Transaction: Type = Sales Order

Hi @BWM- Shem Follow the guidance on SuiteAnswer ID 97021. This article refers to an item field so just adapt it to your record type. Hope this helps.
-
hi @BEM- Shem Is this a formula field? if it is then maybe create a second custom field that sources from your formula field and with Store Value = T.
-
Hi @KevinWong You could use the filling steps: (1) Create a custom Created By field. Type = List/Record. Store Value = T. List/Record = Employee. Validation & Defaulting> Dynamic Default = Current User. Save. (2) Create a custom field Created By Email Type = Email Address. Store Value = T. Source & Filtering> Source List =…
