Is this still a "no go"?

I like your idea, but how would one create a "combined package" so that NetSuite knows two separate packages are being used (and what their dimensions are)? We can just combine the dimensions or else it would create a package that is too large to be accepted by UPS. This issue gets even more pronounced when the packages…

d.j. ditto here. Check our cache. Today we had a new one where we changed an item in NetSuite and the change wasn't reflected on new SO or POs with that item. I know that isn't a webstore cache issue, but it appears to have something to do with caching. -Tom

NS, will those URLs ever update? -Tom PS: Sounds like this might be another feature we asked for, but don't use.
-
Does 'storedisplayimagehtml' do the same thing? I wonder if it takes a while to update. Let me know if it starts working with the new URLs. We haven't implemented the descriptive URLs....yet. Tom PS: Is it possible to Mass-Update the standard "Alt Image Tag" or "Image Caption" field to = "contents of custom field". I…

This is not currently slated for the 2009.2 release. Our QA/Dev teams are looking into and is a feature that we expect to. Currently though there is no slated date for release. Phillip, Thanks for the update. Let your QA/Dev team know that each day that NS users go without this "feature" they are loosing thousands in sales…

<bump> From NetSuite's promotional webpage... Powerful website and webstore capabilities are essential for the success of any company doing business today. I agree and while non-encrypted image urls that end in JPG or GIF would be considered a basic features and not a "Powerful" web store capability, we need them anyhow…
-
Usspeed, Assuming you have the right things turned on at... Setup > Company > Enable Features ..like "Descriptive URLs feature" = ON and "Advanced Site Customization" = ON Then, Part 1. SetUp->Web-Site->SetUp Web Site Then click the "Setup" tab, you will see "use file extensions". That gives you JPG, GIF etc ...if desired…

DJ, while they are improving this area, item images included in the sitemap would also be helpful. see... http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=178636 Thanks

Matt & DJ Ours updated very quick and we have over 2000 images. On another note, be careful when doing the "Bulk Set image URL Components" it will also add ".HTML" to the end of all information items. The "Bulk Set URL Components" has TWO options. 1. Apply To: Item And Category Pages 2. Apply To: Web Site Images We…

D.J., That sounds very nice. How will it come up with the descriptive portion of the image names? Will it pull it from the name of the file or the name if the item or from a new field in the item? I hope it has an option to auto-create the descriptive image names with key words from the item's name (when first activating…

That is a good question and I'd also be interested in the official NS answer. -T

Dale, I know about possible work-around, but ours would take hundereds of man hours which equals many thousands of dollars. Why implement an expensive fix when a free fix is coming? NetSuite, there are 26 votes for a fix of this issue. This has been a known issue for many years. Is a fix coming in v2009.2? -Tom
-
We've also had site-mapping issues with our descriptive URLs that don't end in HTML or "/" or ".jpg" or "/parameter=...". There is only one decent Goggle map making program for the MacOS (made by Rage software) and it rejects URLs that don't end with standard web endings or else it adds "/" to the end of category URLs that…

see... https://usergroup.netsuite.com/users/showthread.php?t=19726&highlight=sitemap NetSuite's Beta Sitemap Tool isn't ready for "prime time".
-
I used "A1 Sitemap Generator" and didn't like it any beter than the "Coffee Cup Google SiteMapper". I followed the instructions and it created two of every category page. It created an entry with a "/" on the end of the URL and one without. So, that lead to hunderds of duplicates. Both URLs lead to the same webpage, so…

...or if you want to use matrix items you have to create kits for each size or colour. How do add kits to a matrix item? I didn't think that was possible. -Tom
-
I don't see you mentioning Item Options (capability to have multiple options to items like a matrix...but no sub-sku's are created. just stores the options and flows through to PO's, work orders, sales orders, etc. etc.) Not sure if that would work for you here...but if you haven't reviewed this function, it could be your…

Turns out that we did do something wrong. We used one of our obscure domains for our email marketing domain and we let the email domain expire. T
-
NetSuite, OK, we got the reviews to work. Thanks, Tom
-
Never mind. I just removed the buy button all together. The customer can always drill down one more page to buy. Apparently you can't use the dense-list-cart-button tag on "templated layouts" that are set to "List Style =Graphical Items list".
-
<bump> Any idea when the new version of these instructions might be available? -Tom
-
Yea, we use item reviews ...but not on all items. See... http://www.signsdirect.com/Simpo-Sign-2 We honestly get almost zero reviews from our customers. I need to set-up a workflow that asks users to submit a review two weeks after they purchase any item. That is the only way that you will get any kind of participation. T
-
Iain, I tried and it still doesn't work. I copied the JavaScript code into the "Addition to <head>" section of our theme. Then I assigned the "Drilldown Template" called "Basic : Clean Lines PRODUCTS (item drilldown) - With Product Review" to an item in our webstore. The item in our WebStore then had a link called "item…

<bump> I got a PM from another member that already installed this bundle and they were saying that instructions like I mentioned above would have been very helpful. -Tom
-
Bob, what was your fix? We just found this in our account. We use a dense-list-add-to-cart-button in two of our layouts/templates. It works in one occasion and fails in another. Works here... http://www.signsdirect.com/Home/Blank-Lighted-Signs/ fails here... http://www.signsdirect.com/Home/Miscellaneous-Signs_2/
-
I'm wishing that NS would just add some hardcoded scripts to do what Chuck did ...but with less effort on our part. -Tom
-
Yes, and I bet that it "Took some time to do it" as the previous user stated. It should be a built-in feature. We all do our own fixes for missing basic ecommerce features and then they eventually add it after we users collectively invest thousands of hours building workarounds. So, you either hold off on doing your "home…

This has been a request since 2007. Netsuite doesn't cater heavily to Google's changes (IMHO). Google says "jump" and NetSuite says "Maybe Next Year ..or not". Google checkout was slow to be added (incentives had expired). Google "image search" optimization isn't a priority (from what I've seen). Direct froogle…

I ended up creating a C# program that downloads all our product data via web services into a SQL database, then from that it creates a valid Google Base file (Now called Merchant Centre") and then uploads it by FTP each night. Took me some time to do it, but... Yes, and many of the cheap ecommerce packages just offer such…
