Thanks Julian, Now we need about 50 more votes before this problem is officially recognized. I sat through a web seminar this week about v2008.1. The presenter was thrilled about the drag and drop KPIs and trend graphs. They called it the best new feature in v2008.1. So, it is now even easier to display distorted…

I realize that I deleted an image used earlier in this post, so I added a new one that illustrates the problem. If your "averaging units" are set to to "TEN UNITS", then, points 1 through 12 (in the image above) should be plotted like this... Point #1. Average of column #1's sales and the 9 months prior to column #1 Point…

I was looking at trend graphs and noticed that they are still inaccurate. I clicked on the netSuite instructions that are available explaining what the trend line represents. See attached image. Notice that it says "EACH data point on your Y-axis represents a 3 month average" (assuming that you select 3 as your averaging…

NS, this error was pointed out 6 years ago. Any progress?
-
Why is it more expensive? Isn't it just a change in the programming? Why did they ever think that the current way was accurate or was the way NS customers would prefer it? They should maybe ask more users for input when building a new feature. The same type of bad choices made the "image sizing" feature unusable for us. T

NS, have you given any more consideration to improving the accuracy of the "trend line" in these graphs?
-
2. The trend graph data is generated based on the actual numbers for the given period represented on the x-axis. We do not make the first point a "trend average" of data in the preceding time span. However, I don't believe that answers your question. Can you please clarify so that I can provide more detail? Yes, I am…

Has the inaccuracy of the trend graphs been addressed with v2007?

Keep in mind that we don't put a location on our sales order records. We only put a location on our fulfillment records. -Tom
-
On this same topic, can someone advise how we can take the "Inventory Activity Detail Report" and alter it so that it only shows the total number shipped (for of each item)? We want to see which items we are shipping the most of (per-location). The standard "Inventory Activity Detail Report" shows the starting inventory…

I need any kind of shipping report as long as it only shows monthly s/h totals that our customers paid (on a cash basis). I just talked with NS and they said that you can NOT make a report to show shipping information. So, if you also need this report before you can pay your sales tax (or for whatever reason), vote for…
-
The report was multiplying every invoice by the number of addresses that the customer had and drastically throwing off our totals. Your instructions (which I do appreciate) should have said to filter "report A,1" by "Shipping Address : State" does not equal Illinois and not by "Address Book:State". -T

Can someone from NetSuite respond?
-
When we ran a "Yahoo Store", we used to export all of our sales data (quarterly) and then import all of the sales date into a FileMaker-PRO database. We would then use filemaker to generate all of the reports that we needed. I suppose I could export all sales data OUT of NetSuite and import it into File-Maker to get the…

Actually, if it makes things easier for NS, the deductions could also be done slightly differently. Like this... A. Total sales from outside of Illinois (this total DOESN'T include shipping & handling costs on those orders) B. Total sales from "inside Illinois orders" that were sold to non-taxable in-state organizations…
-
We are getting there, but I need some more information. When i ran the first report for out of state customers, I was confused by the results. What does it mean when it says... Customer XYZ 9/25/2006...Invoice123...Brass Widget...$20 9/25/2006...Invoice123...Brass Widget...$20 9/25/2006...Invoice123...Brass Widget...$20…

It is silly that we have to pay for this data (given what we already pay for NS), but How much would it cost to pay someone (anyone) to make the report that we need? The State is really hounding us... probably because we haven't paid sales tax in 2006 and they want to receive it monthly. Email me if you are a proficient…
-
Evan, I appreciate your response, but I will admit that I didn't completely understand. We do have a number of inventory asset accounts in our COA. It sounds like you are saying that you must have only one inventory asset account and it must be the "correct one" with the "correct name" or else it won't show inventory…
-
Tracie, do you also use it to show LTL freight rates in your shopping cart? That is what we're after more than anything else. -Tom
-
This is not an option. I tend to set it somewhere in-between in this case. We have a large item that can be shipped in a 1,2 or 3-pack. Each quantity uses a different box. So, I use a 2-Pack box as my default. Shipping is a little high on 1pc sales. Shipping is a little low on 3-pc sales. Another downfall is kit items. If…
-
Ed, Do you display LTL rates in the shopping cart for our NetSuite store shoppers to view? Tom
-
This works <%=getCurrentAttribute('salesorder','shipaddress')%>, but it shows the address from the sales order. I need to grab the address from the fulfillment.
-
I tried NetSuite's UPS validation. All it does (for us) is show the error "Invalid license access number".
-
Bump. Anyone tried these?
-
Avalara's AvaTax software does too many other things that we don't need ...which prices it off of the list. I tried PCA predict today. It is off the list. It didn't work properly for us. Addresses weren't formatted correctly and in some cases it just had bad data (eg: wrong zip+4 number). I've emailed Pitney Bowes 3 times…

I found the bad news here... https://netsuite.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/36630/kw/free%20shipping%20promotion It only works with INVENTORY ITEMS and Assembly items. It doesn't work with non-inventory items. Aaargg. Why??? :-(
-
I talked with OzLink. This is a Netsuite issue. They've seen it before. Workaround: on each fulfillment, click edit address…then, save the address without making any changes They also said to see proof of the issue, view source on a fulfillment page and you'll see that it doesn’t reflect the new address that was entered.…

OK. How do you set this up IF using the advanced promotions method that allows you to LIMIT free shipping to only the items that qualify? This is the version one where you use a generic "DISCOUNT ITEM" and put the shipping discount in under promotion--> {Discount Tab --> } --> ADD SHIPPING DISCOUNT This is NOT the version…

There were a lot of shortcomings. A key one for use was special pricing via UPS 100-weight and/or GFP pricing from UPS. Some of those features were only available in World-ship.
