> What role are you in? Admin > Is it possible you're using a customized Sales Order screen > that is hiding the status field you're looking for? NO. So, where do you guys See the option to change a Approval Status from approved back to "pending approval"?

We also use Safari 2.0.4 and I tested on two Macs. I don't think you did the right thing to reproduce the problem. Here is how to do it. 1. Create a new customer. 2. Make a preferred "shipping address" 3. Click on add/edit and it adds the address 4. Enter data for a preferred "billing address" 5. Click on add/edit and…

We have a new problem today on our Macs. They can NOT make a new customer with multiple addresses. You can add a "shipping address" and then you go to add a "billing address" and click on "insert" or "add/edit" and absolutely nothing happens. This is in the latest version of Safari. Tom

We have the Intel macs. We have never had a speed issue in the Mac browsers. In other words, I wouldn't say that NS has been any faster on our PCs. The only problems we have had are with some of the mac-only bugs in NS. I think a "Parallels like" feature will be part of the Mac OS in the near future. -T

Welcome to NS. You sound like my secretary (who uses NS on a Macintosh to do bookkeeping). She tells me that she has wanted to slit her wrists ever since we moved to NS. She also says "all I want is to be able to do my job"..."is that so wrong". I'm a "die hard mac guy"... I'm on a PC now ONLY because I have less problems…

We have macs, but don't have any problems ordering through our web store. We do keep the macs up to date. Maybe your customer was on a old OS9 Mac with a browser that hasn't been updated since the 90's (don't laugh, I just described several mac users that I know). Our OS and browsers are both the most recent versions and…

I am one of only a few in our offices who use Macs, and I'm the NetSuite administrator. In earlier versions of NetSuite/Safari/Firefox there were various bugs, but now I can't think of any particular bug that prevents me from working. I do occasionally have minor problems which require me to save & edit a record to make…

> Speed is back, errors are gone - no major glitches. Great, you just jinxed us all !! > what was the issue you ran into? > We are going to going to 11.03 this weekend. Uh oh. We are also going to 11.03 this weekend. Are you talking about the fix where you click on "allow creation of SO" for the customer role?

I have also fond some images showing up with a "?" on the web page (image not found symbol). When I look at the image in NS, it is set to "image is NOT available without login". NS doesn't let us do a document search for the "available without login" criteria or I could easily find the images that were effected. It looks…

I have held for 2 hours today and with NO answer. I finally had to hang up! It would be nice (if they can't answer calls in under two hours) if they would... 1. Let us hold without muZack!! It is the same dang "song" over and over forever. It isn't even music. I hate it. 2. Every 1/2 hour it should say "sorry for the long…

How big should the cache be set when using that "cache secure" setting that you are describing? I currently have mine set at 1mb. Should I raise it sense it will be caching more data? -Tom PS: Almost all other web sites I use (like web based mail) have a FireFox compatible spell checker button built into their site's text…

> Not only did I have to wait forever, but the person I talked to in > Manila didn't have a clue as to how to solve the problem. It is ESPECIALLY frustrating when the problem isn't "your problem". I don't mind waiting if my knowledge and abilities are the problem. When it is a NS bug that you are calling about, I feel like…

FireMyst, Your www.deliakay.com web site is very slow. One part of the problem may be that your images are fat. They are much larger than they need to be. The image homepage_01.jpg is 61kb. It can be reduced to 16.71kb in photoshop without any loss of image quality. Use the "save for web" feature and choose a jpg with a…

I did find one way to speed up something that was slowing us down. Our "transaction searches" were incredibly slow. If a customer called without a SO number, we would ask them for a "shipping zip code" or phone number. I would do a transaction search and wait for a few minutes while NS did it's thing. We use a custom…

> Adding anything new or editing anything is around 3x longer lag delay > than rel 10.x. This is true for Sales Order and Items We really notice this on items. It seems to lag/delay for 20 to 30 seconds before it finishes opening the item. It seems to show everything except the "preferred vendor" (we use multiple vendors)…

If NetSuite would make a residential/commercial check-box in BOTH the estimator and the cart's "shipping address form" (for our customers to choose their "address type") ..it would fix these problems! We aren't worried about them picking the wrong one to save a few dollars. The vast majority of them will pick the correct…

v2007.1 has some changes to the "shipping estimator". the release notes say... Previously, this rate always assumed the order would ship to a commercial address; now, it will respect your default company setting and calculate for either a commercial or residential address, accordingly. Since residential rates are typically…
-
However, as long as NetSuite is unable to calculate shipping from various origins (from vendor's location), the shipping estimator will be wrong any way. We did find a way to do this in NetSuite. We use multi-vendors and we also use the multiple location feature. We have set up several locations that are really our…
-
I know we are not the same as everyone, but all we need is the estimator to follow the residential rates. Anything will be an improvement, but I'm for letting the customer pick residential/commercial at the estimator and then it uses the same choice when they get into the cart/check-out OR if they are already registered,…
-
NS won't pick a location based on the receiver's address, but you can choose a shipping location for each item. T
-
Is there any more ability for us to expose the address type selection to our customers in v 2007.1? T
-
We get shoppers that ask us about the discrepancy between the shipping estimator price and the actual shipping cost when they go through checkout. I tell them... There are two reasons for the discrepancy. 1. The estimator doesn't have your full address. 2. The estimator only shows the UPS charges and doesn't include the…
-
I was wrong. The shipping estimation is SOOO far off ..that I thought it was leaving the handling OFF. It turns out that the extra low cost in the estimator is all coming from somewhere else. I assume that it is all coming from the fact that it defaults the estimator's estimation to "business address" rates and it defaults…

Vicki, is this what you are talking about... http://www.zoovy.com/howitworks/shipping_tracking.html WOW, they do look like they have some awesome e-commerce features. How much did it cost?
-
This is a bit off topic, but I use Mac and PC in NS every day. I use a Mac at home and a PC at work plus other people here are evenly split between mac and PC. Ever since v11, the Macs run NS much faster than the PCs. There are certain areas where the PCs always hang for 20 or 30 seconds. Like when I click on "edit item".…

Speaking of "Document the functionality completely" and the name of this thread.... the new NS "help center window" loads incredibly slow. I'm talking about the window that loads if you click "help" in the upper right hand corner of any NS page. I think what is making it so slow is it's "search feature". It searches very…
-
I discovered that we don't have "Advanced Web Reports module". NS, you may want to know that this "product search report" is included in the basic Yahoo store for no additional cost and their system is much cheaper to begin with (yes, and less robust). T
-
Maybe we should all post in this thread what specific functions are the slowest, so they can concentrate their speed improvement efforts on the worst things first. T
