We're having this issue right now. In the backend we're getting "Gateway Down". Anyone else?

I got this case from a customer today: Case Subject: Problem ordering on-line Case message: I attempted to place an order for xxxxxxxxxxxxx. The billing address and shipping addresses are different. However, the on-line system refused to accept the different addresses, and continually requested my credit card security…
-
We've been getting customers reporting this for months. My instincts tell me we loose 2 or 3 customers for every one that bothers to call us to finish their online order.
-
We learned more on this ONGOING issue today. A customer called and we attempted to help them through a stuck web-store checkout. Their credit card BILLING address had "213 Country RD." in it. It wouldn’t accept their CREDIT CARD and gave a VAUGE order blocking error that said nothing about the address. They had even called…

Bump, this web-store checkout defect is still effecting our customers on a daily basis. Not sure how much $$$ we've lost by now due to cart abandonment.
-
We didn't get hit with this.
-
Apparently this was due to some work being done by a 3rd party company customizing the reference checkout for us.
-
Did you try other web sites on Cyber Monday? I also noticed that NetSuite stores were slow, but I even found that when I went to some Cyber Monday deals that were emailed to me (from Amazon and such) ..they were also slow loading... but, maybe not as slow as NetSuite.
-
For us it was just that NS was slow (regardless of browser). Maybe Cyber Monday clogged things up. An Amazon session also ran slower than usual today.
-
Never mind, it says "3:33 PM PST" in the header. So, at least some of the data on that page is real time dynamic information.
-
What was the resolution to this?
-
Up for about 30 seconds. Then back down.
-
status.NetSuite.com must just a marketing tool for potential NS users to check a "live status feature" off of their list as it seems to have no real dynamic intelligence built in. Status still = "No issues to report - All NetSuite Systems Fully Operational".

We're down right now!

Server #2 seems to be working
-
We received TWO orders like this today. Free shipping. Costing us money.
-
Bill, I doubt that it is anything specific to our account as we haven't done anything special in regards to shipping. We've simply enabled the UPS realtime rates option in netSuite. It worked fine for several years. We didn't change any settings recently. Maybe something specific to the NetSuite server that they've got us…
-
This seems familiar! I think that we had this a long time ago and the issue was that NetSuite took too long to communicate with UPS (when pulling real-time rates) and eventually timed out and decided the answer from UPS = zero and dumped in a <null> for shipping which translated to $0 shipping cost!
-
> In your cart, did you get a chance to choose shipping method? yes > Did you get a shipping quote? yes, there was shipping values displayed
-
Yea, we turned off PayPal all-together. We had half the normal orders today. not sure if it relates to PayPal being off in our account. We really do need to have it, but we can't afford the damage caused by giving away free shipping. Some of our items with $50 in profit cost $150 to ship by UPS. In most cases, shipping is…
-
We found the issue tying all of these free shipping orders together. We've had 6 orders with $0 charged for shipping. Every one was a PayPal order! So, the issue is either PayPal or netSuite. We can't remove NetSuite, so time to remove PayPal from our site.
-
Why would this only be happening to our account? Is anyone else using NetSuite for ecommerce? Are you getting regular orders? Do you use SiteBuilder and UPS?
-
So, I'm assuming many others also take paypal and receive orders via their web stores. Were they not effected by this defect? We deactivated PayPal in our NS account. Shame, it was popular with a decent percent of our customers. Last time we had this, I believe it was a "too slow of response" issue between…

I got this... Defect # 310893 - Web Store > Getting a "Your order was not placed could not calculate cost to your location..." error message when submitting order from the web store Alternate Solution: None Your defect has been prioritized as an S2 I don’t understand that response. orders ARE being placed. The shipping…

Also, why would this only be happening to our account? Is anyone else using NetSuite sitebuilder for ecommerce? Are they not effected by this?
-
Also, S2 … Really. Do they not understand that we'd have to try to explain the shipping problem to these customers to get them to give up the free shipping that was charged on their order. We're just letting them have the free shipping and it has cost us hundreds in just the last four hours.

Case # 2031543

I saw this case elsewhere from today... mchen started a topic netsuite slow -> in Errors / Troubleshooting -> Today, 09:50 AM anyone else experiencing slowness?? it is taking 20 seconds to save a sales order. I think these issues might be relate. Back when we had this issue several years ago, it was related to NS timing…

NetSuite had these two ideas... You might try to implement your custom JS code to block orders based on a certain condition. Ask your customers to log out and log back into the web store and place the order again if they are unable to get the shipping rate. Neither of those ideas are viable for us. I came up with a…
