[...]

We have been using Service Items for Purchase without any problems.

The value entered on the Purchase Price is correctly used to calculate the Assembly Item asset value

This is really odd then because I'm experiencing something quite different. The only thing I can think is that the…

Maybe a tweek of what we did on this thread will help you. We use it for labor costs of assembly items. It doesn't tie in with an actual vendor cost as we do our assemblies in house. https://usergroup.netsuite.com/users/showthread.php?t=22882&highlight=labor+cost+for+assembly Thanks for the post. Reading that thread made…

Hey Nick, Yeah, it's all cleared up now. At least enough to get the job done! :p
-
I wish I had posted my question here AFTER the verbal slapping I just received from my boss when I told him I was thinking of using Journal entries! :p "You stay AWAY from the journal!" - alright, alright... chill out. I re-read Andrew's statement charges suggestion and they still confuse me; do I create a charge for the…
-
Thanks for the suggestion to use Statement Charge. After reading about it I'm not sure it's what I'm after. It seems a bit overkill as a method to account for a interest payment. We don't charge interest, this particular customer insists on paying it (government entity). I was hoping there would be something like a "Other…

So I've gone ahead with a combination of both of your suggestions; a Statement Charge with a Service Item linked to an Interest Income account. It made sense, seemed fairly light weight, etc. I get all the way to the point where I'm writing the code to create the Statement Charge transaction via Web Services and.......…

Hi Carrie, Thanks for the suggestion and sorry for my late reply - I was pulled off of this for a couple months. I have a question that could be totally ridiculous and a bad idea, I really don't know. My question is, what are the pros and cons of making journal entries for these interest payments? Is this even a valid…

It can't really be that the UI is this poorly designed... can it? I have had many difficulties with generating statements in our account. I am forced to cherry pick the accounts that need a fax statement, email, or snail mail. I don't want to pay for a fax if I've already emailed one to a customer. And I definitely do not…

There it is! Nice, thanks Malin.

Thanks Marc, I appreciate the assistance. I will test this out with our accounting person and help them get through the initial transaction. It seems pretty straightforward and easy, so I'm sure we should be able to figure it out. Thanks again, Steve
-
Thanks for the info. I better make my schedule changes count! :o
-
Thank you for the additional information

Hi Pat, Thanks for the response. I'm thinking I should be doing what you are doing as well. I'm going to create a Suitelet to automate the whole process, make it as close to a one-click operation as possible ;0) -Steve

Hi Steve, Your case is being actively investigated by QA and Dev. We would like to extend our apologies on this. Thanks, -Cat- It's cool, no need for apologies. Just wondering if there is another way to accomplish it OR... when a fix will be rolled out. This is a feature I've been waiting to use and I really could use…

OK, that's what I'll do. Do you feel this would be a good enhancement to have? The ability to define custom statuses for entities is a very powerful piece of the managed workflow side of things. -Steve
-
Yeah, I can imagine it would be a bit involved. Enhancement 80143: - Ability to rename (or add to) the status we have for transactions. If you see value in this, please contact support and cast a vote.
-
You can also attach files in the History tab of a transaction. For example, you want to attach a scanned PO to a sales order: To do this, go to the Sales Order list and select a Sales Order. Go to History > Files subtab and select the file that you want to attach in the Attach Existing files dropdown. Then Click the Attach…

Robert, No, we aren't on version 2007 yet, but now I REALLY wish we were. I'm glad to hear this feature is coming, now I need to find out when we will be on 2007. Thanks, Steve
-
That is really surprising to me that NetSuite hasn't added this functionality. What would be AWESOME is if we could initiate a document scan from NetSuite and have it saved to the current record. Anyway, that is a dream..... Thanks for the confirmation. -Steve
-
Thanks for the confirmation. Today I've learned of 3 features in 2007 that I have been wanting for so long, I can't wait to be upgraded! :) -Steve
-
I think 2007 basically duplicates the workaround I gave you for ver 11. You still need to upload the document and then attach it from the form. Ideally we would see a button that said "Scan document". As it stands now, you can choose to upload a new document from your PC but it must already exist on your PC. I'm looking…

Thanks for the confirmation, Andrew. :)

Yay for me! :D Thanks all for the confirmations! Have a great weekend. -Steve

Are you emailing via the dreaded "Yellow Email Button From hell" or the friendly gray email button on the messages tab? If the latter: Attachments Tab -> Check 'Include Transaction' Attachments Tab -> Type = PDF That's it!

140 votes (including mine), almost 3 years and 30 enhancement comments later and it's STILL not implemented. Just gives you the warm fuzzies about the enhancement system, doesn't it?!

... Will you need this functionality specifically for selling kits in a standalone invoice? Or will you only need this for selling kits with sales orders and fulfilling these members with item fulfillment? Peter We will need both. We can't roll out a solution using serialized or lot numbers members if we will be restricted…
-
95% of our sales flow through a Sales Order > Fulfillment > Invoice process. We do occasionally go straight to Invoice although we have plans to change over to use Invoices for orders that are "Field Dispensed" (our reps dispense in the field) so there is no Sales Order or Fulfillment. SO really we use both now although…

Setup > Accounting> Set up Accounting > Ordering/Shipping > Use Popup to Select Serial/Lot Numbers on Standalone Sales (Check this box and save) I was excited to see this post and the option in the setup, but.... it doesn't seem to work, at least not where I would expect it. When fulfilling a sales order I still see the…

There will also be custom fields on inventory #s in v11.5 and the popup will have a search capability to search for numbers based on custom field. Thanks, -e This is my favorite thing I have read all day, thank you Evan! I have wanted this for so long!!

Got it, makes sense. Thank you, Steve
