We are asking for the ability to add an ad-hoc revenue line to an AR payment that isn't on the invoice. That line doesn't need to be tied to the invoice, just tied to a GL account. We can then apply the payment to the invoice and the ad-hoc charge to an account for credit card processing fees charged to the customer. Maybe…

Thank you everyone. It seems that NetSuite is simply lacking that capability, and in my opinion, shouldn't be. There is no real solution, only workarounds. So, close this as unsolved.
-
Shiela, Great idea. However, that is for expenses. We are charging our customer a 3% processing fee. So is income, not expense. The customer payment is 3% more than their invoice. We can't add that to the invoice as it is in a closed period. When we apply the payment to the invoice, there 3% unapplied. And we don't have…

The Invoice is in a closed period.
-
Sheila, Thank you for your suggestion. We could create a JE or a Debit Memo as a work around. But we shouldn't need to, that functionality should be in NetSuite already.
-
I found the answer. Thanks guys
-
Anyone have any ideas how to handle this please?
-
Shiela, Can I create a rule that auto-approves certain Bills? ✅ Yes. In the approval rule definition, you can use a saved search to define the conditions (e.g., bills under $500, bills from certain vendors, or bills with a specific department). That way, those Vendor Bills bypass the approval queue entirely. For this,…

Shiela Marie Villaluz, What a fantastic, comprehensive and complete answer. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge. I have to test these, but I am sure they will work. Thank you
-
I see that on the 2025.2 release there is a new feature to send email notifications for expiring OAuth 2.0 Certificates. That will help.
-
Harikrishnan, Appreciate your insight. So as they don't expire as such, I don't need to worry about them? I don't really like connecting through a user account. We have several that were set up through employee accounts who have long left the company. I would like to clean them up and have them go through one accounts…

Angelica, Thank you for the details steps. However, I cannot find the Purchase Order form used by Vendor Center users.
-
I would like to get feedback from a user who has uninstalled Dunning
-
I am testing in our SB using the Admin role. We only we want to implement approvals for Vendor Bills.
-
Sheila, Thanks. The period is open Approval Routing for Vendor Bills is enabled
-
MTL_MIA Perfect, that's all we need. Can I get the script please?
-
Correct it doesn't. I have tried creating a Receipt workflow. But, as you know, an Inbound Shipment can contain multiple POs. It creates an IR for each PO. We create the receipts from the Inbound Shipment record. And no message is created. I think this will have to be scripted. A simple message on the Inbound Shipment…
-
What we are trying to achieve is to display a message to check the Landed Costs are complete before receiving a shipment. It would be enough just to display a message when an Inbounds Shipment is viewed. I do not see a way to customize the Inbound Shipment for to add a message field. And if I create an Inbound Shipment…
-
We need to trigger a workflow when an inbound shipment is received. I can trigger a workflow if the receipt is created from a purchase order. But it doesn't trigger if the receipt is created from an Inbound Shipment.

After talking to NS Support it seems that the only to limit the transaction SuiteAprovals runs against is to undeploy the sas script(s) for the transactions. This is not a good solution. There should be a list of transaction under Approval Manager to switch them on and off.
-
I did but that didn't fix the issue. We only want to use SuiteApprovals for Vendor Bills, nothing else. We only have a rule for vendor bills. Yet when we create a sales order, the status field is locked (greyed out). Without SuiteApprovals it is not locked. Therefore SuiteApprovals is running on Sales Orders even though…
-
At this time I would just like to know how to set SuiteApprovals to only be active for Vendor Bills. And no other transactions.
-
Thanks Jam. Yes, I can do that. But again that limits the results to just the long item lines. I need all items on the order, if any item is a long item. Therefore, if there are 10 items but only 1 is long, I need results for all 10 items, not just the long item. If none of the 10 items are long, I don't want any results…
-
Thanks Jam. That is the usual method to filter down to the long items. But that limits the results to just the long items. I need all items on the order, if any item is a long item. If no items are long, I don't want that order.

We are using NetSuite taxes. We have a Nexus for each Canadian province We have tax codes and groups set up for each province. The taxes calculate perfectly, by shipping address, for each province. It is just that for that user, it doesn't. I need to do a lot more testing next week to pin the problem down.
-
Thanks for the reply. I will have to take screen shots from my NS and hers. I can do that next week. But to answer your questions: We are both using a Data Entry role. Both using the same custom SO Entry form. Both creating a SO for the same customer, same items and criteria. Both using the same process to create the…

Thank you all for your contributions. Seems my only choice is a script. Why NetSuite doesn't make a simple thing like setting the allocation from a workflow available, I don't know.
-
Thank you everyone for your valuable feedback. But it seems there is no way to create such a warning message because of NetSuite Inbound Shipment limitations.
-
Thank you, guys. I did recommend they update the Landed Costs on the Item Receipts. But they don't want to do that as there are usually multiple Item Receipts for each Inbound (multiple POs). And they say they cannot calculate the Landed Costs for each IR. So, I am still trying to find a way to give a warning on IR…

On the Landed Cost tab on the Inbound Shipments, Thanks
