Your Balance Sheet will always balance if its the canned version. If you customize one and lose track of your accounts it can become unbalanced. If the latter happens you are on your own.

Hi Jim Set your Column setting (bottom right) to Accounting Period. Otherwise the option will be called Month depending on your report settings in preferences.

You can get the same effect by creating the report by scratch from "New Report". I don't think you can modify the report to be matrix after customizing a standard report

You want a Sales by Customer Report customized to bring in the Ship to Zip Column. The other fields should be available by displaying results "by Period". make sure you are reporting All Reports by period as sales reports dont have to follow accounting posting period but could follow month

The formulas only work as you have seen in a single direction. They show mathematical result not the impression a user desires.

Jeff, Do you desire to keep the Account Name instead of Number_Account Name? if thats the case I think you are stuck. if you are fine with limiting the visibility of line items you can summarize sections by grouping (such as by subsidiary vs account).

I think your only problem utilizing a "canned" report is that the report only wishes to show approved orders. In theory you could have tons of junk out there that would never be approved and shouldn't show in the forecast.
