I have checked all my customer VAT numbers on the EU validation site and they are all correct, yet mine still fails with: GOV TALK ERROR ENCOUNTERED: Raised By: Gateway Error Number: 1046 Type: fatal Description: Authentication Failure. The supplied user credentials failed validation for the requested service.

I concluded that this bundle had messed up our account (which was set up exactly as suggested by Netsuite from the Dec08 change). I had to fix the mess made by the bundle manually - would have been more helpful if netsuite had not made a bundle!

I would fire big warnings about using UPS in the UK. I had terrible problems with them. Service standards were terrible. Yes I found them very bad after trying them once I had set up integration in netsuite.

Therefore there will hopefully not be a meltdown in July with Maestro cards on NetSuite not being accepted, but it is difficult to say for sure. One can hope, but I've had written notice from my bank that they will not accept non-secure Maestro in July! Richard

Have not signed up with efax or anybody else yet. Interested in any comments / recommendations. If you are asking about outgoing faxes, I think UK customers can only use efax? I think there is a second supplier for US users. Richard

Has anyone else reported VAT 100 in this way in the past, and can anyone confirm that the NetSuite way of doing it is perfectly acceptable to Customs and Excise. I seem to remember an inspector telling me that it must be done the way you described that Sage does it - so perhaps Netsuite have some work to do!

I've been very happy with SecPay, you need to have a merchant account with your UK bank before you can use them. They use netsuite themselves, so should be somewhat familiar with it should you have any problems. I don't think Verisign operate in the UK. Richard
