I searched Suite answers (which I hadn't done for a few years, as we had resigned ourselves to the fact that we would just have to make this transaction part of our year end routine) and I think I found an answer. So far it seems to have worked. Keep your fingers crossed :p *Workaround: -Transactions > Bank > Make Deposit…

Thanks I was thinking about doing something like that. It does seem like the best solution, I already have a similar workflow that I will modify and see if I can get it to work.

Do all orders have to be pending approval in order to use this feature? It seems like the only way to turn this on is to have orders default to pending approval or pending fulfillment. Most of our orders are able to ship out the same day, I would hate to have to add in a delay while waiting for orders to be approved before…

Thanks! I will give it a go.
-
You could try the trigger type of before record load, that is how mine is set up.
-
Thanks for the suggestions. I will vote for the enhancement, and will consider updating the forms.

That is interesting. We have not increased our volume either. I have not created a case yet, since the amount of time has been better the last two days (40 minutes the first time was long). I will keep monitoring our process, and if it continues, I will resort to creating a case. Thanks for your input.

Thanks for the input. We were thinking about using that, but we weren't sure if there were any other considerations that we hadn't thought of. Do you use it? Does it work well? Can the sales orders still be edited if they are not approved?

Our problem seems to have resolved itself. I did not enter a support case, since it seemed to be a short lived problem.
-
We have done those exact steps every year since it first happened. And still it shows up again the next year.
-
I have spoken to a support person and we have decided that this only happens on credit card orders. Since they do not hit the a/r account but go directly to cash, they are not included when considering a hold. For our purposes, if we put someone on hold, we don't want anything to ship to them, regardless of how they are…

I have created an email alert that shoots me an email when anything happens on an account that is on hold. When I get the alert I can decide if I want to allow the order to proceed. You could limit it to just item fulfillments, to cut down on the amount of emails you get. It is not a perfect solution (for example, I am on…

This has been fixed.

I just got an email saying this fix is being tested pending release.

I have created case # 1326734. They just told me this is now an S2, so it has been moved up a little. I also asked to get this set up so that others could vote on it, therefore boosting it up the priority list, but I don't know how that will go. You may want to create your own cases for this issue. They did say that if you…

OK, I can't vote on it as I can't find it. I guess I will call in.

I hope that isn't true. I noticed this today when trying to send statements. I can't take out the start date. Sending statements with a balance forward is not something I ever do. Customers complain that they need the invoice numbers on all old invoices, and I agree that it makes more sense to list all open invoices, not…

I want the negative on the actual credit memo form that gets sent to the customer. thanks,
-
Thanks for the info!
-
I will give it a try. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply Nick. Unfortunately they don't show on that screen. If I remember correctly, I had done that step previously (last year or maybe even the year before) but it didn't solve the problem. I gave up trying to fix it (bad idea, I know) and just adjusted my reports to ignore Journal entries. I should have…

Thanks for the reply. I guess I don't want to add bunches of numbers either. I was just thinking about the few times when it is obvious that a block of numbers had been stolen. We have pretty good anti-fraud measures already, so I guess I shouldn't worry so much. I am just always afraid when something like this happens…

It says delayed capture. I told them that when I was talking to them and they still said they are not linked. I personally think that this is why the authorization always drops off the customers account the next day. It just seems to take another 24 hours from when the charge goes thru to drop off. I will continue as I…

I went the other route and called our credit card processor. Contrary to my belief, pre-auths are not connected to the sale - at least as far as the banks are concerned. The pre-auth holds the money (it does not charge it) and then the sale takes the money out of the account. I assumed that the banks knew that the pre-auth…

OK, it is still broken today so I filed a case referencing the above #'s.

We are having the same problem. Thanks for posting, I would not have even noticed this otherwise. I usually fax or e-mail the statement without ever looking at it, I rarely print one. I do know that it was working OK on 6/4 (I just checked) - that was the last time I sent out any statements using the form that is not the…

I can't find this to vote for it.

I don't use progress billing, but if it works like a regular Sales Order you should be able to do this. If you have a single line item, say set for an amount of 10, you can change the amount to match what you have billed and it will complete the order. If you have multiple line items, you can check the closed box at the…

Thanks Stacy. That helps a lot. We actually have a similar field we added, called communication pref, that lets us know how people want their invoices. Has anyone set up a bulk mail merge to handle sending out their invoices? I was wondering if you can do a search that would pull in your a/p contacts information (fax or…

Thanks for both of your replies. I will try out your suggestions and see if they give me the results I was hoping for. I am hoping that with the enhancements of V 2007.0 I will finally get a report that I like (of course, maybe I am being too picky;)).
