I think he is asking "do I need to manually update the shipping cost as I add packages?" Yes, yes you do. At first I thought this was an oversight, but as you may have noticed it's making a roundtrip to get the calculated value. If it were to update each time a package was added it would slow the whole thing down. I…

Try: Hi <%=getCurrentAttribute('customer','firstname' ) %>,

OK, figured this one out. I was looking too hard and missed the:rolleyes: obvious.

One point on returning items into inventory. In 2007.x, locations have two flags "Make Inventory Available" and "Make Inventory Available in Web Store". Shut both flags off and you have a great place to receive your RMA's until you have time to send them back to do the Vendor Return Authorization or determine they are ok…

Sure, send it over: sklett@pmddirect.com

We need the ability to pick SEVERAL shipping boxes for each item (not just one). We have widgets that ship in "small widget box" or "big widget box". "small widget box" holds 5 or fewer widgets. "big widget box" is larger and holds up to 10 widgets. NS (with v2007) allows us to create "small widget box" and "big widget…

Hi Angela, Yes, it's possible that a script solution could be implemented to plug the hole, but of course, like may of you I would rather not have to turn to scripts for what I feel should be built in features. I don't mean to sound like I'm whining, I'm just really blown away that I was able to receive SNs on a…
-
Don't get me wrong, I will end up implementing something similar if not exactly like what you have outlined. I just wish I didn't have to :o I'm curious, were you able to remove the "yellow buttons" using nlapi stuff or did you dig into the DOM?
-
Thanks for the info Angela. I was surprised to see the response from NS regarding your issue. A SO "knows" about it's fulfillments, fulfillments "know" what serial numbers they contain. Why there isn't a check to verify SNs on a RMA receipt against the fulfillments makes no sense. It may be a rarely requested feature, but…
-
I thought that was the case :( However, I did skim a post today where Malin suggested that serial numbers would be customizable and you could add additional fields to them in v2007. This is promising although bitter sweet as I've just finished a module to our ERP app that tracks meta data for serial numbers in a separate…
-
Thanks for the tips. We considered both of those approaches. Given all the options, we are zeroing in on a solution: We will set up our components as non-serialized materials but with a custom serial number field. This will allow us to capture and track SN but not be required to do so at receiving. This seems like a…

We use multiple fulfillments, works like a charm!
-
In our next release (Q2 2007) we are adding new package functionality that allows you to enter the size of your packages, set which items ship in each package type, and how many items fit in the package. We will then automatically create multiple packages (if appropriate) for each order to return more accurate shipping…

Hi Baruch, I'm not as concerned with what Netsuite will build into the system as the ability to access the items via code. I might want to put all kinda of different things on the reference line and would use SuiteScript to accomplish this. I can file the enhancement request, but can anyone tell me if access to package…
-
This may not be a good suggestion, but maybe you could create a set of customized forms and make them the preferred form for the role you have assigned to the fulfillment peeps. In the custom forms you could hide the pricing stuff. When they print packing slips you can hind the price field as well. Just an idea. Good luck,…

This will help http://www.screencast.com/users/PMD-Training/folders/NetSuite%20Support%20Issues/media/9e8524d2-2a1f-4dee-ac98-cf377935b365

Sounds like maybe this was always possible. Hmmm, well why am I excited then? I no longer have access to the old version, but there was SOMETHING about this "new feature" that made me think "holy s%it, they finally fixed that" Oh well, "high five" anyways guys!

FWIW, the "support center" link is on the left side when you click the Support tab from the main UI. It's insert a screenshot here but this forum doesn't support them. :h_a_w:
-
OK, found it (after calling 877 NetSuite and asking customer service) I need to go into the "Suite Answer portal", then click Contact by Phone, then I see the familiar popup.
-
lol... this new support thing is a steaming pile of garbage. I need to call support and have spent the past 5 minutes trying to find the 800 number for support, you know, the one that used to be two clicks away without trashing your NetSuite session. Can someone here give me the number? I'll write it down on a post-it and…
-
Netsuite, realizing (quite rightly) the sub-standard feature set of their own knowledge base & support engine, elected to go with 'custhelp' for their own customers. When I go to: https://netsuite.custhelp.com/app/home there's a big green button saying 'contact support by phone'. Do you not see that? -Darren I had missed…
-
What I didn't appreciate was the 2+ hours I've spent with support trying to resolve the issue. If they had simply said "It will stop 5/13" I would have moved on, instead they kept asking questions, asking me to confirm it was still happening, asking how it impacted my business, asking for names of searches, asking if I…
-
BTW, I had responded to this but it was removed because I included the support phone number. Basically my comment was that I didn't think it was logical to look in SuiteAnswers for the support phone number. NetSuite, please just add it back to the menu in the main UI, same with contact online.

Interesting that you think it's done in the UI. I prepared to use it, to convert my many Date and Time fields into this new DateTime and aborted the project due to the lack of UI support. I can't expect my users to enter a date and time string in the correct format. I expected a calendar and hour minute selector at a…

R.I.P. CASE WHEN {custrecord_physorder_due_date} IS NULL OR {custrecord_physorder_due_time} IS NULL THEN 1 ELSE (TRUNC((SYSDATE), 'DDD') - {custrecord_physorder_due_date}) + LAST_DAY((SYSDATE) ) - LAST_DAY({custrecord_physorder_due_time}) END and (barf!)... CASE WHEN…

Bummed I'm not making it, I'm sure it would have been a good time. Have fun everyone!

Little people scare me. They scare everyone, except of course other little people.

You could pay respect to those that have achieved said level and introduce your plans to contribute responsibly as a "2K+" poster in 2011? This is a very important time in your life, I imagine your emotions cover the full spectrum; from uncontrollable excitement to shear terror of the impending responsibilities!
-
Little people scare me. Is all this pricing broken down somewhere? Where are you pulling this info from?
-
Sure, no problem. Once we get closer to the event we'll have to set a night/time to all get together and drink some beers and discuss the deep and insightful thoughts we have on Netsuite... OR just drink some beers. That would be fun, hopefully I don't get taken out by a NS hired sniper! I should send in a decoy with my…
