Rolling out NetSuite to a Vietnam subsidiary is often more complex than expected. Vietnam is not only a “local statutory country” – it is currently in a regulatory transition phase, which has direct implications on ERP architecture decisions.

1. Vietnam is transitioning from Circular 200 to Circular 99
For many years, Vietnamese Accounting Standards were governed by Circular 200 (TT200), which enforced:
- A mandatory, standardized Chart of Accounts (COA)
- Fixed statutory report templates
- A form-driven compliance mindset
From 1.1.2026, Vietnam is now moving toward a new General Accounting Regime (commonly referred to as Circular 99)
