The value that I have for {custentity_monday_from} and {custentity_monday_to} are of course times (i.e. 9am, 10am, etc.).
-
It's filling in the fields with the first day of the month that these time field was populated -- how weird is that?
-
Voilà! That did it. :)

Anyone ever figure out how to determine how long a customer has been in a certain status?
-
I have several uses for this functionality, none of which involve transaction records but time. I'd like to use it source a custom field that tallies the number of hours on a project from a certain date, then use that field in another saved search (I wonder if that's possible?) Or a field on the employee record that shows…

Thanks for that general answer, and I did take a look at jQuery Essential Training on Lynda.com, but in the interests of time, could you offer something a bit more specific, like the code neccessary to make the field still editable when a variable has been passed to it?
-
What is the best way for a customer to update their contact information? I've tried the online customer form route, but when I pass url variables into the form, the data is non-editable, thus defeating the purpose. I suppose the only way is for the customer to log in????
-
Talking about the task record, I've been tracking time there and notice that the "Actual Time" field doesn't tally the time entries I make--anybody know what's up with that? Update: After researching this, I beleive the task must be tied to a project in order for it to sum time entries u.p

If u r the creator of the list u will be able to add to it in any role-- I believe
-
You can also use Workflow to Set Field Display Type by role.

Thanks all. Krish0nan, that's a good solution for handling applicants for a job. We have a databank of workers that we want to use NS to handle their resume data--essentially we want an internal Monster-com, where these part-time employees could go and update their own resumes.
-
Thanks, I've contacted them

What if you have a list that has several subsets, like several billing codes for several departments. Instead of having your user scoll down a list of 100 codes, have him first choose his department then through the miracle of filtering have only his codes appear.
-
As long as you check "allow mail merge" in the custom record setup , you should be able to merge from it
-
You can't use bulk merge for custom records
-
bulk merge uses groups, and you can make a group from the "fab five" record types; you can create a template from a custom record type, just click the text editor radio button and they should appear on the list
-
What about a adding a button that creates a pdf from the online form so that users can then print it out--anybody successful at that?
-
Just curious--you didn't want to post it to the customer center b/c it was too hard to figure out and the customer center so limited?
-
Why doesn't NS offer a mobile-ready e-commerce site-that is the question. This is 2014. Anybody do a Wix-NS arrangement?
-
I was just looking at a demo of NS "Advanced Projects" and it had a Gantt Chart.
-
How can nlapiMergeRecord() create PDFs from a list of custom records off a saved search?. I have a need to merge about 20-30 custom records into PDFs at the end of every month and I don't want to do it one by one.
-
We sell a service (language training) at an hourly rate and customers prepay with a customer deposit that always matches the sales order. I'm not an accountant, but a possible work-around could be to put the SO # in the memo of the customer deposit, then customize your view on the transactions sublist to show this memo…

Nick's script didn't work for me. Does it still work? I couldn't find any info on the UpdateRecord API in NS????
-
Yes, that's what my controller said today as well. Strange, but I can't find anything about this in any of the release notes nor anywhere on the forum???. It's cost prohibitive for us and we're looking at Paychex.
-
Yes, we've been using them for over 6 months. Integration is simply a well-formatted CSV file. We'd like to use their time tracking, but how to export it back into NS so we can bill customers?
-
My Paycheck and Employee Payroll Item saved searches throw unexpected errors all the time--anyone else having this issue?
-
Yes, I have a client who asked for this. I've never done anything like it before and thought it strange and probably the result of some ill-thought out business process. They want to restrict employees to certain customer records, where certain customer records can only be viewed by certain employees. At first look, I…

I was under the impression that employee centers were priced like customer centers (unlimited) on our service contract. That's not the case. I've been told they cost 1/5 of a full access user. Based on that, I guess we'll keep on mailing pay documents. Anybody getting their bang for the buck on ECs?

My NS for dummies says that these roles are fully customizable?? I work for a small company and will become admin shortly and that will be one part of my job--giving employees the correct priviledges and roles.
