  • happy to do so. Thanks, even though the case is closed, is nice to know that even intermittent issues get recognized.
  • apparently, I am alone with this- case #584010
  • I get spam everyday. AND... not one of those companies has sent me any viagra, even though they debit my card... There is a delete button located at the top of your email client. I find it quite useful. wiz, if you would stop surfing all of those unmentionable websites, you might get less spam...;) point well made.
  • Do you think we'll ever be able to pass parameters to web queries again? In ver 10.5 (or so) we were able to pass date ranges to web queries and this would restrict the reports to certain date ranges. The nice thing about this was our ability to control the reports through Excel instead of having to log in to NS just to…
  • Brad, It sounds like your browser is trying to remember your password for you a little too aggressively. ;) I have observed this problem in both Firefox and Internet Explorer when the browser is configured to remember passwords. The browser finds the "Password" field on the access sub-tab of the entity you are editing, and…
  • Hi Ray, I am fully aware of that. However, it may help someone else who is trying to deal with an irate manager. Also, gives people a heads up to push their employees to use the new reset your own password feature. Trust me, I am ok with sufferring, (used to it by now) just would like to prevent it from blindsiding other…
  • actually, I just recreated the report. this time, I was able to do it without a problem. I went ahead and deleted the other one that was erroring. As much as I would like to know why it happened, I don't have much time at the moment, so I am closing the case. Thanks anyway.
  • OK, I gave it a day. Lo and behold, seems Andrew and Cecelia knows what they are talking about, I just need to exercise a bit more patience.... Thanks, guys! your wonderful....
  • Thanks, Krish, very much appreciated. I'll tell you a secret, but promise you won't tell NS? I am having the time of my life, this is actually a lot of fun... Once I get the attention of support (which trust me, I seem to be getting rather easily lately  ) working with these guys is amazing, a lesson on both…
  • would you like screen shots? or perhaps a webex? I created a new report, on sales by item detail. Customized it, ran it, worked like a charm, no issues, and I went back in and chose the other option of "allow web query"- saved, then unexpected error, and the entire report customizing screen is BLANK- nothing displays in…
  • sheesh, can't leave you two alone for a minute, can I?? :D look at how OT you get. Now, if you will excuse me, Andrew, I have been appointed Finance Minister by the Queen, and I have to overdraw her accounts for making fun of the way I talk.... ;) (and you with all the finance degrees are stuck with yesterdays force, ha…
  • ok, since nobody at NS seems to be able to tell me how to do this with a minimal amount of fuss- can anyone else, in this form, explain this to me?? please?
  • Thanks for the back up, JMU, it seems I am finding issues so fast, NS is scrambling to keep up. I must admit, they are responding very quickly to my cases, almost as fast as I find them. I have noticed, however that they have almost given up responding to me in here, although they are communicating with me via e-mail and…
  • NS, can I get an update on this case. Please? I really need to know what is up so I can fix it, as these are rather important. Thanks
  • cool. Very good to know. Seems a lot of my bugs will be fixed that day. Thanks for your help!
  • yep- upgraded Friday. (hence the heading) This is a new one on me, chalked up to the upgrade.
  • Hi Elham, To be completely honest, I am not altogether certain if this has changed or not. I determined that this had to do with the upgrade the old fashioned way, once I noticed it was happening, I walked around and asked people using different roles if they had ever seen option before. I also directed them to the…
  • but of course :D look out, it is a doozy https://usergroup.netsuite.com/users/showthread.php?t=8433
  • ok, well then, I will give it some time and go check. Although, I know for a fact that three accounting roles were locked out of making inventory adjustments, and now, after the upgrade, they can. Thanks. Getting frustrated here, not sure I see a light at the end of the tunnel.
  • I still have not heard from NetSuite about this issue. I have the same problems and I cannot get the checks to print properly or efficiently. Every week my check runs take an hour or two from what normally takes 15 minutes and I lose a couple years of my life in frustration. I really need help from NetSuite on this issue,…
  • yep, tried that. can still get right in - unless there is a lag time until it is effective, maybe?
  • Was this resolved? I am seeing the same thing, kind of. 8.5x11 sheet of paper for checks Check is actually 3 3/8 from the top of the page 4.5 from the bottom Standard industry check No matter how many custom pdf forms I attempt to make, the check prints in a totally different layout. No matter how different the custom…
  • well look at that, you are absolutely correct. Amazing how much sense it makes, once you are given directions... :D Thanks!
  • Feature Categories on Home Page is another feature that Netsuite marketed and included in release notes. After wasting time looking through preferences, knowledge base, release notes, user group, etc, NS finally replies saying the feature is pushed to Oct release. How about NS's original claim the Matrix Items can have…
  • Hi Ken, No not the same, a bit different. The original case was that the system did not display the notes. This case is that the system picks up the change (only when changed to off), but records it as a change to the address. We tested (support and I) this today, and I think they shut it off until it is really ready.
  • Since I am giving support time to deal with my other issues, I am back to looking and testing this. I merged a vendor into a customer record. Had to see what would happen. It merged, but did not retain all the records associated with the vendor (who is now no longer in the system). Specifically: created a customer named…
  • already done ;) as I said, I have locked it down. This is primarily an FYI for others - trying to pass info along.
  • OK, that makes sense. However, In the testing I did, I merged a vendor with a PO into the customer record, which had sales. The PO did not migrate, (as you described), but when I tried the link on the PO to the vendor, it said that record did not exist? (the vendor) Forgive me, but I am still confused. How can I view the…
  • Wow, Rick, seems I bent you all sorts of ways here. At times, the way I communicate ruffles feathers, sometimes more than others. :( However, you did ask me some direct questions, and I always do what I can to answer when this happens. So, here we go... Interesting. I've always wondered why it's OK for software companies…
  • Hi Angela system notes cover a lot of areas, specifically which functionality were you looking for? The new ones for items? Thanks Ken negative, the ones that specifically deal with credit holds in customer records returning the correctly updated fields, as described in other post I made today.
