Hi Kristoffer, Thank you so much for your response. Here is that screenshot. To confirm the details: For each project, in most cases there could be two or more work orders, with related issues and completions. The total/calculation fields are located on the main work order, and the amounts used in these calculations come…

Hi Kristoffer, Good Morning! Yes! Thank you! That is exactly what I need to happen. They will have more than one work order for each project and would like for the work orders to reflect the total for the project and not just the work order itself. Thanks so much for following up. Do you think this is possible? Warmly,…

Hi Kristoffer, I have finally had a chance to test this. I tried it both ways as you indicated, and I am still getting a total that is only for the one work order and not the entire project. Any other ideas on how to get this to work? I'm starting to think maybe a script solution is the only way. Can you let me know when…

I am experiencing this same issue in one of my clients accounts, after they upgraded to 2023.1. Is #705994 the defect number? Is there a way to get a link to it for reference? Thanks so much, Janet Goldstein

I apologize I haven't had a chance to test this yet. I will update you as soon as I can get it done. Thanks again for your help.

Kristoffer, I wanted to let you know I am going to do some tests on this today to see if this recent change worked. I have to create some new work orders and issue components on several with the same project to see if it is totalling correctly. I will update you before the end of today. Thanks so much for all of your help.…

Hi Kristoffer, Thank you so much for hangin in here with me and helping me try and resolve this. I have updated the filter on the saved search to be the project id test field, as you suggested. Do I also need to update the field chosen on the saved search custom field, as shown below, or leave that as is? I will go ahead…

Hi Kristoffer, Thank you again for all of your help. I have created a test field as a list/record and put it on the work order issue. It didn't give me any kind of an error, and the field is auto-populating as it should, however now there isn't a summed amount coming up on the work order. It is just blank now. Here are the…

Hi Kristoffer, I hope you are doing well! I appreciate your follow up. As per your answer, you believe if I change this to a list/record field I can use the project id to sum the totals? I can make that change and try it. I will let you know. Thanks so much. Warmly Janet Goldstein

Hi Kristoffer, I just tried this and woohoo, it populated the weight frozen! One thing, however, I forgot to mention...I am trying to total up all work order issues for a project. My client is using the project id to link all of the work orders and issues for a specific manufacturing run (project). The project id is on the…

Hi Kristoffer, Thanks so much for sending that information. I have been using internal id as the filter, per SuiteAnswers. However, I will try this asap! I appreciate you taking the time to answer my question and send screenshots! This is very helpful! :) I will let you know if it works for me! Warmly, Janet Goldstein

I was able to solve this. Thank you.

Hi Joahnna, I greatly appreciate your response to my question. However, it doesn't seem to directly address my issue. I am not trying to script anything or use the field in an advanced template. I was trying to pull bom quantity from the bom revision record with a saved search over to a work order. Can you explain to me…
-
Hi Ivy, Yes, I was able to get a number when I changed the Kg to kg. However, it appears that what it is pulling is the kg that is from work orders, instead of the bom quantity from the Bom revision record. This is the number I am trying to retrieve so that I know I am producing the right weight amount of the components…

Here it is. I have highlighted the field I am trying to pull in. And this shows the components from the work order. You can see the field shows as zero. Thank you.

Hi Ivy, Thank you for posting this. I have tried it on my end, but not getting any results. When I run my saved search it comes up with 0. Then when I create a work order it says 0 on the field. Almost all of the BOM revisions that this client has, are composed of components with less than 1 kg on the BOM revision. Here…
