I'm not familiar with the customer interface part of NetSuite. malandro95, You say that you are not familiar with the customer interface part of NetSuite. Since the customer record is one of the most basic records of NetSuite, this begs the question of how much experience and knowledge you do have of NetSuite? In order…

I didn't appreciate that the fix would make it to the release which we are due to get this Friday. Steve, Is that Ver 2007.1 you are referring to?

I too am having trouble viewing the Pre-defined Metrics. When I click on the "set up" icon in the KPI section of the Dashboard, I do not see any of the financial ratios. To view the new financial ratios, you must ADD a KPI Scorecard portlet to one of your NetSuite tabs, like the Home tab. Follow these steps: [LIST=1]…

Now, can someone tell me how I can get KPI's sorted both in the summary and detail screen by the customer name, not the customer number? I hope someone has an answer for this. I have been unable to come up with a good, workable solution. It is for this reason, and a number of others, that I have concluded that autonumering…

Hi! This is great info as we are still new users. But I don't see the ability to change the "Landing Page" on the Appearance tab in set preferences. I dont' see any option there or in the other tabs for changing default page. Am I missing something? The Landing Page setting is on the Appearance tab, in the lower left…

My dashboard shows me about the last 10 recent records. How do I view more than that on a page? Mouse-over the Recent Records icon (at the far left, next to Home tab), and click on All Recent Recrods from the little popup window.

I was wondering if there was a way to have more than 1 custom search available on a dashboard. I've set up multiple searches that I would like to have on my dashboard and would like to know how or if it would be possible to have them all on there at the same time. Like Evan said you are limited to one on the Home tab. But…

Hello JMUnderwood, Where can the setting be found for the "company setup". Is this in enable features? Please help, I would really like to be able to auto refresh. Any advice would be great. Chelsea Chelsea, Auto refresh is NOT available at this time. It is a suggestion that I have made to NetSuite.

Hello, There is an enhancement request - vote for #88809 - Allow portlets to auto-refresh on each login; currently they cache values for 1 day or until manually refreshed The original request asked for portlets to auto-refresh on each login. It also asks for a feature that auto-refreshes if a change in the value of a…

This is the minimum refresh requirement. There should be a setting in the Company Setup (which can be overridden by the user) for the following: [LIST=1] [*]Auto refresh all portlets at each login: Y/N [*]Auto refresh all portlets each time the tab/page is displayed: Y/N [*]Auto refresh all portlets at this frequency…

What is doable is to save the value of the search every day - we have an add on we buit with SuiteScript and use internally called "Trac It" which runs saved searches daily and stores the results in custom records, from which you can create trend graphs, KPIs, etc. We will be putting this into a bundle and posting on…

per Evan try adding the col. amount remaining. That is actually the column I'm summing on. Also do you have any unapplied payments? that would cause the invoice to be higher then the customer balance. Or any journals? Ah! That's probably what is causing the difference. I think we have both! Is there a way I can include…

Is there any technology that can plug into a Browser that will auto refresh the browser every TBD minutes? My apologies for asking the last question before I had even done so much as a quick Google. The answer is: YES  There looks like a great one (just now testing) for Firefox: ReloadEvery Easiest way to get is:…

If you add "date" to available filters you can run it for other date ranges. In this case, don't put a date filter under criteria. In 2007.0 you can choose "period" as an available filter and then you can run the KPI for different accounting periods. Thanks, -e Evan, thanks for the suggestion but it doesn't seem to work…

Are you using a transaction search or customer search? Well, I was using a Transaction search, but I don't really care as long as I get the correct results. Do you know how to achieve this either way? Thanks,

OK, I have got the Saved Search working properly. The calculation difference was due to Journal entries, which we want to ignore for this purpose anyway. I got the saved search on a KPI portlet, but the only works for the Current Period. I suspect that I can't create a search that will give me historical A/R aging -- is…

You can get to the KPI setup page via a link on the upper right in "customize this page". Thanks Evan -- that was EXACTLY what I needed to know. Problem fixed. You may want to have your support techs trained on this. Best Regards, JMU

And do you also believe in the tooth fairy? :D Sorry, no offense -- just kidding. But I have learned to make NO assumptions about what NetSuite knows, or what NetSuite is doing. JMU

Hi Evan! I know this post is old but I am having the same problem with one of my users. I have turned off the KPI, refreshed the cache but the error still exists when I try to turn it back on. How do I get the memory of that portlet off of the dashboard? I have CTRL-F5'd it to death. Thanks - Ellen Ellen, The problem is…

I agree, the alert limit should be much higher than 5. For Administrator, Full Access the limit should quite high: 50 The reason is that at any point in time these roles might need to be on the alert list for testing/verification purposes. A more reasonable number would be 15 for all other roles. Some of these alerts will…

It is my understanding that you must be logged into a "higher role" to publish. For example, to publish to a Sales role, you would log into a Sales Manager role, make your changes and then publish it to the sales role. This is incorrect. The ONLY requirement to PUBLISH is having the Publish Dashboards permission set = FULL…

This means clicking on the column header for the field you want to sort on. We really need a multi-level sort like you have with reports and saved searches.

mod(rownum,2) equal to 0 I tried it and it works. Neat idea! Thanks, -e Evan, this formula seems to be sensitive to the "Sort by" field. I tried it on a Transaction search sorted by "Date", and the "rownum" column is NOT in order, thus the highlighting doesn't work as expected. Am I doing something wrong?

I am looking for a way to determine the row number of a saved search. I would like to shade every other row to have a cleaner display of items for users. Is there a keyword like {row} that I can use in a formula? Cool idea, and cool solution by Evan. Just so you know, there is an option to make all lists have this…

Thanks folks - this is very helpful. Of course the bad news is, I'm not a great coder and was hoping to use a WYSIWYG editor, but, so be it. </p> I have used FrontPage with much success. If you set it up right, it won't produce all the garbage code. If you know MS Word, you can use FrontPage. One of the keys is making good…

Your account rep or NetSuite. Refreshes will come at a cost and generally requires a few days notice. When you purchase a Sandbox subscription, you pay for X number of refreshes. You can use these at any time. Contact NetSuite Support to request a refresh. You should ask Support at the time of your request when the refresh…

I am not quite sure what you mean by "laid out in 4 columns"... Can we take this offline, and discuss this in more details? Please don't take this completely offline. I'm sure there are many other users like myself who are interested in this topic. Thanks.

Here is a case dealing with #3 - Cart Abandonment from Cart Complaint from Customer - Depressing This message just in from a customer - maybe this explains our high abandonment rate. . .
