Jeff, that Customer you refer to you in your example, is that a "Represents Subsidiary" customer? Is that an interco customer, or is that an external customer? There is something about this that doesn't add up. Why would you eliminate any of the income in this scenario? You have overall income of 1000 and you want to split…
-
It's hard to say based on just what you're saying. NetSuite does eliminate the BS and the P&L. The only wonky thing I know of is that it pre-eliminates COGS for interco exchanges of inventory, which causes problems if you don't externally sell the good in the same period it was transfered in, but aside from that,…

This cannot be done with a Workflow. You'll need a script.
-
Did you specify a value in the Currency field of the account?

What Carl said

The customer and currency are selected on the Manage Intercompany Sales Order page. They look like filters, but they are not. They tell the screen what values to use.
-
There isn't really any other workaround then letting certain controller-level users have access to multiple subsidiaries. Thinking about it now though, you might be able to custom code a screen that would allow users without access to a sub to post intercos to it.
-
The Best Practice in this record is to create different Transaction Forms (which select the PDF layout) and then then restrict Roles (subsidiary-specific Roles, of course) to those specific forms. Netsuite does not support defaulting forms/pdfs by subsidiary, only by Role. To a degree, scripting can also be used, but that…

I do not think you are on the same page as NetSuite in regards to how consolidation and elimination work. I suggest you start reading the help and go through all that or get a consultant to explain the process in detail. Short story is, you don't need Customers to do what you are saying, but your question hints at much…

Bonjour Brice, I'm not sure I follow? Are you saying that you want to see all 3 accounts, but are only seeing the France one when you log in? If so, that sounds like a permissions issue on your Role more than anything else. You should be able to import all 3 accounts (which I THINK you're saying you are indeed able to).…

Bump what? What is your question?
-
It does require scripting. You also need to think about how much robustness you want built-in. After the creation of the PO on sub A, what happens if items on the original PO are modififed? Or vice-versa? You can either ensure 100% integrity using scripting, or not, leaving it a manual point of control.
-
You have a correct picture of your choices. Both are pretty awful, but this is indeed the choice you must make. In regards to the second solution, it would not be a Transfer Order. You would need to create 2 Inventory Adjustments or Inventory Adjustment Worksheets.
-
Are we talking about transactions that have Inventory, or only non-inventory? Is it something simple like the date/period not being the same as the period for which you're eliminating?
-
Yeah I just posted an answer to a similar question not long ago here: https://usergroup.netsuite.com/users/forum/product-areas/multi-org-consolidation/350634-multi-org-possible-without-one-world That being said, in the particular case of Time/Project based companies, OneWorld offers a lot of flexibility in regards to…

I can't speak as to what ERP Guru has, doesn't have, knows or doesn't know at this point. They most likely do not have a bundle for this ready to go, if that is what you're asking. They didn't when I was there. There may or may not be someone there with the knowledge of this design.
-
There is no functionality to merge subsidiaries. You are looking at a manual migration effort.
-
The first option is the correct one.
-
You do a print screen of the Journal and show it to them. If they do not have access to Sub B and that is not going to change, there is no scenario where you can get give them access to see an Interco Journal. Period.
-
That's a tough question, one that I have faced often on my implementations. Ultimately, there is no good answer: it depends on what you want to do. Both approaches have merits. I think when the chips are down, other companies I've worked with tend to go with legal structure over reporting structure. There is no right or…

NetSuite does not currently support this "blurry lines" model. OneWorld is a strict system that supports arm's-length relationships. You currently don't really have any good options to achieve what you're looking to do. You'd have to go full-blown scripting, but there would be gaps and I'm not sure the accounting would…
-
Right. Well, you don't really have a choice. You NEED a parent holding it all together, period. It shouldn't cause any problems. I mean, it won't add any extra consttraints you don't already have.

Currently, our client is using NetSuite for EMEA but now, we would like to add a US subsidiary to it. I've heard it's not recommended. What are your thoughts about it? Thanks Who told you it's not recommended and what was the reason given?
-
Yes, did you turn on "Intercompany Time and Expense" in enable features?
-
Yes, I've done a sub currency conversion earlier this year. It's really that: you create a NEW sub with the right currency, and you migrate all the data, as if it was a brand new sub. The particular client I did this for, it turns out, had been improperly doing accounting for years, so that did not help (garbage in,…
-
It'll display the pure foreign amount. So, 100 oranges and 100 tomatoes, won't make a financial report that will add up. I *think* it'll at least do you the courtesy of displaying currency symbol, but I'm not 100% sure of that.
-
We've never had any problems setting up sub currencies. What exactly is it you would like to understand about selecting the base currency? Maybe I can shed some light on this for you.
-
We routinely do this, and depending on the size of the account, it can take up to 300 hours or even more. This includes, and in fact is mostly comprised of, data migration. For an account "uplift" such as your, there isn't typically that much configuration work to do if you are not changing your business processes. Now,…

I'm not sure what you're missing, in my setup I can Bill customers from other subs

I've been playing with this a little in sandbox, and it seems like it may be as simple as adding the Amount (Foreign Currency) to financial reports, but that seems too easy. . . Well, picture the case where you introduce a 3rd currency. Amount (Foreign Currency) would then produce very confusing results. If you're…
