You could probably put a custom checkbox on the form like "paid by cc" and have a script run on the bill where if that is checked to automatically select the correct payment method.
-
I wonder if I could do that with a workflow instead of a script. Gonna check that out, thanks! I'm sure you can. I just prefer to script because I get the logic! :D
-
"Close" can impact on inventory depending on the transaction type and the stage.
-
exactly, there is no need to merge the record anymore because you will know the record already exists so you just select the record for the order. I hope Netsuite starts implementing simple enhancements like this that makes life so much easier True, but what if the old record is someone that has confirmed opt-out, and they…
-
Wish Netsuite would add the Subsidiary field as part of the duplicate detection criteria! Yes it's ridiculous isn't it.
-
It doesn't mean you can merge from that record... You still have to finish what you're doing. I actually find it a distraction because rather than checking duplicates once a day I find that I stop when I'm doing and merge the damn record there and then. Just my 2c. I'm glad someone like it though!
-
Interesting. Maybe not in the following scenario? When we have a legitimate 3 accounts, let's say, that are part of different programs, and none should be duplicates - I believe that we have no way of clearing those off of the list (unless we say two of them are Master / Duplicate and the third is Not a Dup - but even then…
-
The other complaint is the Not a Duplicate checkbox - we thought that at the very least this would turn off duplicate detection for customers that we specifically said were not duplicates. But, it doesn't... Weird... that works for us. Always had. Sounds like a bug. Bad news.
-
You could check the related records tab of the invoice and see if it was created from a Sales Order or not.
-
Yes you can. You can enter discounts as line items, as well as through promocodes. This isn't true for the web, just entering a sales order directly into netsuite.
-
The scripts were last updated in September.
-
Seems I fixed it. It was a workflow, but the condition was set to only trigger for a different subsidiary. I reversed the logic and made the condition "none of: all irrelevant subsidiaries" and it works. Stupid Netsuite logic.
-
Can't update the account on Cash Refund via mass update unfortunately. These are the only fields it gives me. Sales Rep To Be E-mailed To Be Printed Shipping Item Picked By Consignment Note # Order Method collecting Customer has been advised of stock issue Flagged - do not process DST Shipping Zone
-
Nope. Standard button. We use it a lot. It's on an unscripted form too.
-
Oh... in addition, I didn't change any scripts. Let work on Friday fine, came in Monday now it doesn't work. Netsuite tries to blame me too. They did nothing!
-
We don't really do credit memos. Like I said, I performed a Cash Refund on an unscripted record. Thanks anyway.
-
Maybe? Where do I look for such a thing?
-
2 shipping scripts. They cannot be changed because they are locked by the producer. Netsuite are right... it must be me...
-
Tell them you're reissuing a new invoice and to ignore the old one.
-
Yes. Set your "straight to Cash Sale" Cash Sale form as default. Set your secondary Cash Sale form up and link it to the Sales Order form by editing the Sales Order and adding it to the Linked Forms tab.
-
Delete the lot and start again.
-
It's just ridiculous that something like this should even be a problem.
-
Scripting is definitely doable, either scheduled, or better yet, in real time.
-
Yes. Separate customer base. A whole heap of the same products. Different pricing/delivery options. Only, company A does all the purchasing from suppliers. So we only need one instance of inventory. We have live inventory on the web, so manual transfers are a pain in the donkey.
-
Ha - sounds ridiculously easy! Thanks again.
-
Renaming to Netsuite NoWorld... How dysfunctional. We need to sell our entire catalogue through an alternate website. I don't wish to have to manually transfer over 2000SKU's manually every time a sale is made. Surely there is an alternative that I'm missing? :h_a_w:
-
In an absolute basic format, how would I script a transfer? I can work out the complexities of it if I know where to start! Thanks for your feedback.
-
Can't do that, you simply can't have inventory without Locations. Netsuite OneWorld simply does not have the concept of inventory shared across subsidiaries (which actually normally makes a lot of sense, so can't really blame them). That's pretty useless if you're selling the same product. Why would there be a checkbox if…
-
Are they truly multiple entities with seperate tax ID #'s? If not, what about just using the multiple web site feature? Separate entities. Yep.
-
Yeah this isn't great! I've gotta update an external list for marketing purposes, and there is the likelihood of emailing to addresses multiple times thanks to this.
