Thank you Shamaine, I suppose you are right, something must have been changed on an invoice line. But it's just confusing and frustrating because a) there is nothing to indicate this in the invoice system notes (above) and b) There was no material/significant change to the invoice and the link was just dropped anyway. Well, the Defect 434641 was partly right. The system does want to land on a 'Transactions overview' page when one deletes a record. But if one creates a custom center, then there is no transactions overview page. I tried copying the 'transactions' center tab into my custom center and it did solve the problem! So it's not…

Hi Shamie Here is a ss of the related records. This is not the original invoice though. This issue came up because the SO was billed, then the link to the original invoice was dropped, so it was billed a second time! Ugh.

Hello Joy Indeed the Inventory KPI is less than the value in the Valuation Report, I did a saved search and confirmed that the asset account for every item in the inventory valuation report has the 'inventory' check box selected. Sorry, that wasn't the reason. Any other possible reasons?

Thank you for the answer! But there are no other item types that have an account type like Inventory Asset and Inventory In-Transit. There are only inventory items and assemblies - so this cannot be the explanation for the discrepancy

Wow thanks, that does answer my question. The issue we had was emailing different transaction types with the same template, but the tip to use Freemarker will easily solve that problem. A+

Thanks Jack! The problem is that the rate is always different so can't be taken from the item. Anyway, in the meantime I created a simple workflow action script which doesn't have the issue with number formatting.

Yes, the discount item is also populated by the workflow. That is no problem.
