Hello Community! Josh Maxwell, a User Experience Researcher for NetSuite Foundation has fun a question for you. Imagine for a moment that NetSuite had an assistant like Alexa or Siri. What would you ask of your NetSuite assistant? Use this survey link to share your top questions to the assistant.
Here are some examples to get your creative juices flowing.
"Did I pay vendor John Doe last month?"
"Take me to my largest sales order for this month."
"What invoices haven't been paid yet?"

@jervin when you lock the record the user cannot edit the record at all. In this case the user needs to edit the record and resubmit it for approval. The changes should not be saved to the record until it goes through the approval process.
-
@Jervin Nicholas Teopengco-Oracle I have used your resubmit option and the issue is that the save button cannot be hidden. The objective is to control Vendor creation and editing, however, the user in this case can save the changes without resubmitting and the Vendor along with changes remain active in the system.

Thanks @Jervin Nicholas Teopengco-Oracle I will look at that solution. However, even if the button isn't removed it isn't transtioning to the Approved state on execution when I have an action in the Approved state (inactive = F). However, if I remove the action within the state then it will move into the Approved state on…

Hello. My question is relevant to this thread. I have a set field value for Vendor record to make inactive = F. Trigger is on entry. Last state of the approval. Transition into this state is on approve button. When I include this action in the last state the transition does not execute and stays in pending approval state.…

@Jervin Nicholas Teopengco-Oracle thanks for responding, after some more testing I decided it would need to be a seperate workflow for a few reasons. I would point out that on a JE WF ( it was based on the JE template) I can add and remove the same button, possibly this is only with JE's or transactional workflows.

@Angela Bayliss thanks, I thought about going that route but they have many subsidiaries and with SuiteApprovals (correct me if I'm wrong) you need to set-up each sub individually and give them an order to run in. That's my experience with expense reports anyways. I also found that the app doesn't support suiteapprovals…

@Angela Bayliss I have tried creating the dynamic group based on a saved search which pulls the users in with that role. I am having an issue selecting this group as the recipient, when I choose groups it is blank. The objective is that when people join or leave there isn't a need to update the workflow as long as the…

@Clarisa De Torres-Oracle Do you mean updating the subsidiaries to be selected on the Subsidiary Context footer filter of the report? yes I think that how would I add a consolidated filter to a report?
-
@Clarisa De Torres-Oracle I am looking and I think that updating the reports Subsidiary Context may be part of the solution. How would I do that?
-
Hi @Joahnna Given Uy-Oracle see below for where it is on the Purchase Order Record. I need to add this information to the PDF so the Employee can include it as back-up for audit trail in their external billing system.
-
@Michelle Jabanes-Oracle I do not see that this will send the email to multiple email addresses, this does not accomplish my objective which is to send emails to multiple contacts. It still only sends it to the one on the Customer body.
-
@Michelle Jabanes-Oracle would you please provide the search criteria and results or share a preview with it run? I'm trying to see if that will work for my current solution because my search is also being used as an aging queue for AR review.
-
@Daryl D-Oracle is there a way to create this script as a field that I can reference? For example I need two tables one to show overdue and one to show not yet due. So one table would be overdue is greater than 0 and the other is current which would be overdue is less than 0. If I had the field I could create the logic, or…

That part is sensitive info I can tell you it’s Expense Record The levels of approval are: supervisor group there is a saved search it references. The routing itself has been tested and is in production and I am looking to add this feature. Possibly you can tell me in general what could affect the functionality, are there…

I am currently testing the reapproval tolerance functionality which I have set at .01 because the admin would like all if they are changed to go back through approvals and 0.0 is not an option. During testing I am as the initial Employee after approval level 1 going back and adding another line as the additional amount and…

It did not help, I do need to keep all of the people in the Group so they can view these and approve. I only need to remove the notifications to reduce email traffic.

I was asking more for an outline of steps then redirection to SuiteAnswers, that's where I've been and there are so many pages and material referencing EFT, some of which are outdated including the bundle that it tells you to install. The subject matter is all over the place in SuiteAnswers. Are you able to provide the A…

Hello, It is two different records, one is a bill where the vendor is the header level, the second is a system generated amortization journal where the name is on the line. In the report or search I need to have the name displayed in the same column rather than having to pull in two different columns to see the name for…

Yes, this worked for me. Thanks! What would be helpful would be to add a queue that shows all reports that have been either approved or rejected, this way a manager can review what all they have approved as well, possibly this can be an enhancement. In the meantime I will create a saved search.
-
I've added the portlet as suggested and Test 2 is not able to access the expense report to approve. The queue is blank.

The Revenue Recognition Rule field is not showing on my JE form even though I've updated the set-up to include it:
-
Hi Micah, no it is not marked as an elimination and not as an I/C. It is marked for revaluation however, and it is a A/P type account.
-
I cannot share the customization pages are too long and as I have stated there is no name field that is mandatory that's been selected. I appreciate you getting back to me on why this could happen, also if you would like to schedule a call for a screenshare we can do that as well.
-
Hi Micah, I have done both and it is why I am reaching out. Is there another "name" field that would provide this error?
-
No there is not. I have this same workflow in SandBox and I do not receive the error.
-
It will not let me add the line. There is a JE workflow but have not even tried to save it yet.
-
Thanks! No, there is no asterik and I looked at the form customization it does not have mandatory checked. It's an A/P account. There's a JE approval workflow but looking there it is standard and I do not see anything that pertains to mandatory name field.
-
Hello, This did not work. I ended up having to manually enter the addresses.
-
@Tafara no the system notes do not reflect the address fields I tried to update via csv. I cannot provide screenshots as it is a clients production environment. It is a standard record there have not been any customizations to it. I have enabled auto numbering for ID. Override is not checked on the addresses. Another thing…
