The point wasnt to inform you that this specific section wouldnt be of much help...the actual User Group itself doesnt have a solid history of Tax Help
-
I've seen it presented as a Discount like michoel stated above. Its simple and gets the job done. it can have problems with integrations depending on what data comes over
-
is the field not setting or something else? describe the failure.
-
You should share which country you are handling so users can give specific advice (if any). You wont find a lot of Tax Help in this group.
-
Dont invest too much effort into changing things...SuiteTax is coming and blows a bit of this to pieces.
-
The message you see on basic templates is controlled by NetSuite. Oliviers approach is the standard workaround for advanced PDF. The ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Integration for NetSuite handles these messages in the Tax Response and allows you print control. When youre ready for Tax Automation come find us.

Why not create an Item (Non Inventory) called "Customer Satisfaction Credit". Assign the appropriate GL expense account and use it for your stand-alone Credit Memos. No inventory will be hit. The reason for the credit can be easily identified and you can move on. You could also create the CR initially from the invoice the…

[h=1]Using Vendor Records for 1099 Contractors[/h] For each contractor or non-employee that you pay more than $600 for services during the calendar year, you must provide a Form 1099-MISC Miscellaneous Income statement for reporting tax information. Each contractor that requires a 1099-MISC form must be identified as a…

Use the Help Menu. It will tell you everything you need to know. I suspect some of this is already too late as there is a minimum amount of setup required that I suspect you didnt do.
-
This might sound silly but have you considered the business process is the issue here? Typically an item will have a cost component and a revenue component and neither post until invoiced. Talk with Olivier about setting up your account properly.
-
Maybe this is too simple but couldnt you just use a basic project record for this? Link all the revenues and expense lines by linking them. reporting would be a snap
-
Couldnt you simply Void the extra payment? the transaction should reverse.
-
Do you mean at the approval of the sale order? If its at creation wouldnt you have an issue with booking a cost related to an item that wasn't approved
-
You should have a release preview account available. Have you considered doing a test there with the clients data? Cant go wrong
-
That's excellent feedback. I have been poking around and suspected I would receive favorable reviews. Thanks again!
-
NetSuite support found the issue. Someone deleted a Tax group with the name "." (yes that is a period). Once it was recreated all was well.
-
Unfortunately I think the answer is still no. Rob may be able to tell us the Enhancement request number
-
Thanks Rob. This Partner was pretty clear to state that by default NetSuite has a place to store the Exemption Cert number and that Avalara updates it with their process when installed. I had not heard of this and wanted to verify if it was true. I'm pretty sure they have Avalara functionality and default NS confused in…

The matter of global vendors isnt so much a single vendor but rather a single interface to see your vendor interact with all subs.
-
Marty Zigman posted this recently. http://blog.prolecto.com/2016/06/12/solved-netsuite-drop-ship-purchase-accruals/
-
Same difference...they behave the same...they are using wrong terms to describe the problem or they are simply wrong...if you have a vendor bill and you were charged tax on it the tax amount is either an expense (due to you not being registered or something lie that) or it is an asset since it is used in your filing to the…

depending on where this is in South America they could be right...its a mess in some countries
-
Could you clarify? Why would the Buyer need to account for a GST Liability? Buyers record GST assets to utilize on returns...Sellers record liabilities for the GST collected from buyers to remit to the authorities
-
Yes I am using it but only for some of the Touchpoints it offers. My customers pay online but do not order.
-
Currently the native system does not handle this. Partner solutions (of which I am employed) do utilize the zip + to determine taxability...some systems also use Lat /Long
-
Good question...we could use some documentation on this...I wonder if they use the group populated with more matches (such as City)
-
Some obvious questions here...for instance is the relationship of the subs relevant? You have two subs..same Tax ID for both subs? Why would one sub record a liability in the others Tax Agency? There are workarounds for everything but context helps.
-
So does it fail to show (not there) or the text is there but not in the format desired? If the latter I would have to guess the HTML coding is not correct.
-
Melissa it sounds like you need to use Expressions in your Criteria for starters. Secondly once you check that box in the criteria section you should be looking for County A OR County B OR County C etc. Obviously the records in question cant contain 2 county values. So start with expressions. Start with Sales Rep is John…

On the first issue it doesn't seem like we are talking about the same requirement. On the second issue why don't you modify the External Form to not show the required field? if its not shown it cant be enforced
