Called NS Support and was told that this never did automatically update on the Contact Records. However, if you are working with Employee Records, the name DOES automatically display your modification to the employee's name. Interesting!

DMC - Thank you for your post...this has been a thorn in our side from day 1. Even the Duplicate Detection options in Netsuite don't catch the majority of these. Because of this, our sales team has to do a global search on company name keywords before calling because they could already be a customer!!

We are mid-sized with a little over 100 employees. We have the full NetSuite module (ERP, CRM, Marketing, SFA). We do not use the web store. I am one of 4 administrators. It does but I'm not getting hung up on the Condition/Formula value I need to use. I've read and reread the Netsuite documentation on workflows but I'm just not getting it. Is there a formula writer for dummies??

When creating a workflow does it matter where you set the condition at the workflow level or State/action level or both? I'm experimenting with the Show Message action. I thought I would try to generate a message when user hits Save on a new opportunity when Expected Close Date is today's date.
