That makes sense. Thanks!

We have three people going from our company. This is our first time going to one of these, so I am hoping to find it useful. The agenda gives good details of what they will be having. http://www.netsuite.com/portal/press/events/suiteworld/main.shtml Never having gone to a conference, I am a little confused by what the…

Thanks, I should have known that. I looked at every tab except the first one. That will teach me to look at things too fast.

It is done by any one with the ability to customize forms, usually an administrator, though the permission can be given to anyone by an administrator. It is a universal change, it will be for everyone. You could make a custom entry form for each person or for each role and make that form their preferred form, but that…

We had this problem as well. We also had to re-do our custom forms. I called into support to ask why something had changed and was told that is the way it works now and given a suggested work around (which was impractical, so I came up with my own). This has actually happened to us on previous releases also. I ended up…

There is a check box when you customize your invoice form. It is in the printing fields, footer section. You can select to include the aging totals on the bottom of all invoices. One word of caution, I turned this off because some people were reading this as their amount due for that one invoice, and sending in duplicate…

are you sending from the transaction record?
-
Thanks Luke. I appreciate your prompt response in fixing this. My Data Entry people were pretty upset this morning. It will be nice to give them such good news.
-
Can you use formulas in available filters (to make a search form)? I see that you can select formula as an available filter, but there is no place to actually put in the formula.
-
The billing status is going to be open. So then it will return all open invoices. I only want open invoices that have been partially paid.
-
I would like to do a search for transactions that are only partially paid. Is there a way to make a formula in the search criteria that will only pull open transactions where the amount remaining is not equal to the amount transaction total? I have tried to figure this out, but I can't get it to work. Thanks,

HI Evan and Nick: I can't get the min or max to work. Right now this is what I have for my formula: MAX({today}-{daysopen}) Is my syntax wrong? Thanks, Linda
-
I have tried doing that, but I have the same problem. I want to have the search only pull up the past due customer once. Thanks, Linda

HI all: I am new to using formulas in searches. I want to do a customer search that has a formula based on the oldest open transaction date. I want to find out the number of days between today and the date of that oldest transaction. Easy to do in a transaction search, not so much on a customer search. Anyone have any…

That does work for the short payments. It also gave me an idea to fix another search I had. Thanks for your help!

Hi Guys: I really appreciate all of your help. I have been using your responses as a learning tool, since I have only just learned the joy of using formulas in searches. I do have a search that has been working fine for quite a while, I was just trying to tweak it a little. Your ideas have been very helpful, and I have…

Hi Evan: Still no joy. It just leaves that column out of my search. I did a formula (numberic) and used max({daysopen}) as my formula.
-
Hi Evan: Thanks for your input. Would I need is the oldest open sale - so that is close, but not quite what I need. Can you get the days until due from the customer records terms? I was thinking if I added the days until due to the days overdue, that would give me what I want, but that seems to be a transaction only field…

Is there a way to add fields to the address forms? We want to customize addresses. Examples - we would like to add a custom field for communication preference to the address, since some customers have multiple billing address, and each one has a different preference on how they want their invoices (faxed, e-mailed, mailed,…
-
I agree that it would be very helpful if it didn't automatically set each new address to default. We try to be careful, but it is too easy to forget to uncheck these boxes and create problems down the road, especially with billing addresses.
-
The error is being caused by having custom fields on the payment form. They do not yet have a solution as to why this has suddenly broken, but the current work around is to customize the payment and take out the custom field or fields that are causing the problem. I had to take out all the custom fields (there were two on…

I have the following case open. This has not been fixed yet. Case # 2441867 Update: "Defect 397426

We are having different issues with payments. We cannot edit them. We get a message that says "An unexpected SuiteScript error has occurred"
-
great thanks

I am still having the problem, and now am having problems posting to the user group, as evidenced by my three new posts. I keep getting an unexpected error, but then it apparently made the post anyway.
-
We are getting unexpected errors when trying to change the main email on an existing record (on the main tab of the customer record). I wonder if this is caused by the same problem. It just started today.
-
NetSuite is aware of this problem and has a work around. We have a support case filed. You have to change your customer form to the standard form to make the changes, and when you save it will revert back to your form. [TABLE="align: center"] [TR] [TD="width: 700"] [TABLE="align: center"] [TR] [TD="width: 280"] Support…

We reported this issue on Monday as well. Case Number -1776839 Defect 262656: Email > Attachments subtab > Files in the Attachments to Send and Attachments Received folders are available to select I ended up renaming the most commonly used files and adding Current at the front of the name, so people could find them. Our…

This has been happening much longer than the wrong payment method problem. We have found the only way to be sure the card isn't charged in error is to use a custom sales order form that takes away the payment tab and defaults to an invoice rather than a cash sale. We use the cash sales striclty for credit card payments…

You can search on status - look for undeposited payments (or deposited ones). You can further filter by payment type - check, cash, etc.
