Down in Virginia

The only time the search would throw an error is if the entire base record the search is based on is not accessible. For example, if someone tries to run an Employee search and their role does not have access to Employees, you get an error. However, if you build a search based on a super class, such as "Transaction", then…

With a report you have the option of granting a user access to data that is otherwise not available to them, this is done on the options tab under access. If you can get your data on reports this might be a way for you to assure everyone is seeing all the data. Yes, thanks. These are actually saved searches. They used to…

They are saved searches. I have not checked reports- we use saved searches more often due to greater field access.
-
Same in Virginia- we are essentially down.
-
We are down too- NetSuite is aware. Database failure.
-
We have been getting these as well since late last week. System now completely down- first time in 4 years for us.
-
Ok, so this would only address emails incoming. Emails to our customers wouldnt be helped by this right?
-
Can anyone elaborate on the spf? We are having some issues with the NetSuite emails form our support group going to junk mail.
-
We have run into cases where we cannot delete records even though all the obvious children are gone- can you just mark them inactive? Also you have to check projects, custom records, marketing responses- etc.
-
I agree with Oliver; our user event scripts and workflows drive changes that are logged under users names all the time. It would be nice to see which of the changes were UI driven vs. script driven as it can be confusing.

We have screenshots and other images in our solutions that we email out to customers. This is similar to what Robert wrote except we embed it in text. You write text as normal then in the HTML view where you want to put the image you put <P><IMG alt="" src="https://system.netsuite.com/core/media/media.nl?id=XYZ"amp;gt;</P>…

why cant I select an invoice form on this page? I can only select the credit card drop down...?
-
I doubt you can. Why not give them a price sheet?

We created a model that generates license keys which can be used to activate subscriptions. We track the licenses/subscriptions as sub-records to the customer account using a custom record. Renewals are sent via saved search and users are directed to a SSP page that lists all their accounts and they can check which ones…

Start a transaction search. Limit to invoices main line. The details of who has touched a record are in the audit table, called System Notes. You have to join to that record from that same search. Look at bottom of the list for options that end with "...". In the criteria of system notes, restrict to edit type=update, edit…
-
From transaction search, link to the system notes record and the field Set by. That will tell you who did what. You can exclude the created actions and any scripted actions and come with a summary list. You will have set a variety of criteria like main line or group under results to consolidate.

The permission is under User Role Setup under the Setup subtab. Custom lists dont have permissions set directly on them, custom records can. You can convert to a custom record as you can see - if you need more than one attribute per entry that is the way to go, but since you dont, just set the role permissions (under the…
-
1. pretty sure not. we would like to be able to skip hierarchy as well. 2. yes, set up a search with the results field you want, make it available for all roles and under roles mark it as preferred search and results at the top.

[h=1]Illustrate the Behaviors Associated With Custom ListPermission[/h] Published 03/23/2011 10:18 AM | Updated 09/26/2018 10:02 PM | Answer Id: 12112 A user's ability to set up Custom Lists in NetSuite is controlled by the Custom Lists permission set on the user's role. To set up the Custom Lists permission for a role:…

Why don't you assign to the correct customer at the time of import and select only the price level not the actual price?

I am an employee in Sub A but I have roles in multiple subsidiaries and can act as a rep in all subsidiaries. I only see my name in the rep drop down and not other reps from other subsidiaries. I am not sure what rules govern this but somehow I can be a rep in other subsidiaries.
-
Thanks JCirocco, that is good to know. We have two sandboxes already so should be ok there. If anyone else has tips or info, I would be interested.
-
There is an exclusion for records required for tax, audit, etc. so I am assuming GL impacting transactions are included in that. If there are no GL impacting transactions, I plan to delete them. if there are, we will delete anything we can without the financial ties that cannot be undone. As you noted, there there is way…

I dont know that role but we do have Tableau. How are you integrating? We were led to believe it was very easy with the ODBC connector and that turned out to be not the case.
-
I have additional questions on this- how are people handling the data retention issues (do you have policies that prescribe deleting records after x period of time) and/or the "right to be forgotten". How do we forget customers we have transactions associated with?

We use NetSuite for everything and have for 7 years. However, we previously used OpenAir (since about 2004) for time tracking and projects. That said, I STILL have users complaining about NetSuite's UI and that they want OpenAir back. So, you may want to think about integrating them vs. moving them. Make sure you do a beta…

I would probably listen to them. We renamed Class as Product and it works about 95 percent of the time. However, in some reports, we still see references to Class and not Product. I have not used custom segments but my guess is they might be slightly less available than the native fields based on your PS team reaction. If…

We have extensive filters on the exchange mailbox that forwards the emails to NetSuite using terms that are common in auto-emails. It took about a 6 months before we finally had enough filters in place to stop spam auto-creations. You can use bulk delete to remove those cases during clean up BTW. They recently implemented…

scheduled mass update to price group?
