Thanks. The only thing I'm stuck on is this... ...wanting columns of text to display like this... | Item Description:.......... | | This is a red wagon.........| and they're displaying like this... | Item Description: ......... | | This...is...a...red...wagon | Its putting huge gaps in to make it hit both left and right…
-
> also i'm guessing the item description is the a label in the tr above? Yes, that is correct. I tried inline styling with a <div> and within the <TR> and with a <span> and nothing had an effect on the text in question. It is almost like the styling is embedded in the data that is rendered from using ${item.options}. I…

We eventually used a 3rd party to redesign our forms for advanced PDF/HTML.

OK, i figured out wrapping, but am stuck on justification. Some columns are CENTER justified and I can't seem to turn that off. So, I want them to display like this... | Item Description:.......... | | This is a red wagon.........| and they display like this... | Item Description: ......... | | This...is...a...red...wagon…

Yea, it worked for us also... sort of; but just not in the matrix children. It worked for regular NON-matrix items. It worked for matrix parents. Maybe you didn't test the results when viewed in a matrix child item record. I got this answer elsewhere in the UG: Good day! If I understood it correctly, the formula is not…

The big question would be "where did you test your version"? I found that NVL2({parent},{parent.internalid},{internalid}) works for mass-updates. It works in other places. It will NOT however work as the formaula based value for a custom field that is set to "store value = no". In fact, I've tested several such formulas…

Bump. Does anyone get too many web orders per day for one person to process? If so, how do you allow multiple people to process orders without collisions?
-
Has anyone built this already ..that is willing to sell as a bundle that we can install?
-
Here is how I envision it working... Our default sales order status = "Pending Approval". I’d like it if a user can click grab on any unapproved order and then it puts the sales order in a stage called "Pending Approval - Gabbed by xxxx" where xxxx = the user’s first name. The name of the grabber could optionally just be…

I just looked at assembly items and they could maybe work. We'd want an assembly that is auto-assembled as we process each order. Can that be scripted? The feature would need a button to toggle auto-assembly to on/off for each item. That way, if we actually wanted to pre-assemble a few hundred of one particular item... we…

Getting Nexus via a 3PL is the killer. I ran some numbers and found we'd save a bunch on shipping costs on the items we'd send from California to California -vs- Illinois to California but the sales tax would offset a lot of those gains. If you get Nexus in California, do you only have to collect sales tax for the orders…
-
Jennifer, what 3PLs do you use? Anyone else?
-
Tried LeSaint. They said: Unfortunately at this time, our facilities are at capacity due to recent clients inventory surges. We do thank you for considering LeSaint. Anyone else have a recommendation?

I asked the fulfillment people in NV and they confirmed that sales tax should be collected and paid for NV shipments. They said NV doesn't require tax for orders shipping from their state to other states... which I thought was the case everywhere. Yea, sales tax is a "pass through" but also an ecom sales deterrent to some…

OK, I finanaly found an automated way to keep all child items with an IMAGE url without any manual upkeep. Step one: Create a new custom item field. Make it set it to apply to Inventory Items, Non-Inventory Item and kits. Make it store value and have no default. You'll use this new field to hold the image URL and connect…

How do you like Saddle Creek? Looks like they have a number of locations. Do you hold inventory at multiple locations? Was the integration pretty expensive? Did you do the integration work in house? Do you think that the web services work be bundled and resold? How has using a 3PL compared to doing inhouse warehousing and…
-
Who do you use for your 3PL provider?
-
If anyone is doing B2C ecom fulfillments through a 3PL company and they previously did it in-house, then how has switching to 3PL impacted your bottom line?
-
I found one tax work-around... here.... http://www.bendergroup.com/warehousing/reno-nevada-warehouse.php there are no state or local taxes to consider by placing an inventory in Nevada Not sure what they're referring to as NV has sales tax. I'll call them this week.

Wait for the "reference cart" that was released two NS versions ago.
-
hmmm That would work as long as we're copying from "base price" to any other price. In other words, you couldn't copy prices from something like "price-level-3" to "price-level-4" using that procedure. We are OK copying from "base price". Our only issue is that we also need to filter out items that already have a prices…

One question about 3PLs and sales tax. I'm attracted to using their warehouse in California. From you experience, would you have to collect sales tax for California customers if you have inventory coming out of a 3PL warehouse in that state? I read some online stuff about "nexus", but I still wasn't sure if a 3PL qualified.

Here is what we used to automate the creation of child item names. It is a text formula field. formula = {parent} || ': ' || + (CASE WHEN {custitem_color} IS NOT NULL then ' Color='||{custitem_color} else NULL end) || + (CASE WHEN {custitem_size} IS NOT NULL then ' Size='||{custitem_size} else NULL end) || + (CASE WHEN…

We're also trying to use "1 login". We're new to 1 login. Have you found a way to make it work with the security questions? Do you make a set of generic security question answers and then share those answers with your 1 login users. -Tom

workflow = too complicated as it usually seems to involve having an understanding of script writing/coding ...which we have very little of. Is there an easier way to make phone calls from a dynamic group/saved search? Are there saved workflows like this that we can copy or a workflow repository ? Tom

Thanks for the information Evan. When I go to "netSuite help" and search for "Date of Last Sale" or "Date of Last Order", I can't find any information on those two search variables. Why no documentation? I believe your answer, but it doesn't jive with the results I'm getting. I search for customers who's "Date of Last…

Best work around as per i know is making the Company Logo element width and height as 0 on PDF layout of blind shipping packing slip and link that layout to new sales order form that you have created. That works for me. Thanks. Now, the icing on the cake would be if we could link a customer to a particular sales order…

I'm looking for a system where I can make a new "shipping item" in NetSuite. I can name it "UPS ground 3rd Party". When creating that shipping method, I can click an option that says "THIS IS A 3RD PARTY SHIPMENT = YES". Our "regular" shipping item would be set to "THIS IS A 3RD PARTY SHIPMENT = NO". Then, when properly…

After creating the blind-form listed above, you have to change the global preference for packing slips to your blind-ship packing slip form. Then print the one packing slip that you want to ship blind (while hoping someone else in your organization isn't attempting to print a regular packing slip). Then, when your print is…

We've done this, but is very inconvenient ...by design. You have to change the global preference for packing slips to your blind-ship packing slip form. Then print the one packing slip that you want to ship blind (while hoping someone else in your organization isn't attempting to print a regular packing slip). Then, when…
