Hi Duncan, basically AJAX allows you to process requests like adding an item to the cart in the background without having to refresh the current page. It could the update your mini cart for example with newly added items, again without refreshing the current page. I hope that is what you are looking for? Also, yes we are…

Hi Stefan, yes there is, go here: Setup > Web Site > Domains > Last column shows "Not-Found page". You can only use a static HTML page though, not an information item. We wanted to use this feature but with an info item page so that if our footer or header changed so would the 404 but it cant currently be done like that.…

Same here, our checkout abandoment is roughly 10-15% each day. Not as good as we would like but some of those are international customers who dont like expensive postage :)
-
That is completely wrong. Stay tuned, we will have significant news in the coming months regarding architecture. Hi Evan, only relaying what your senior product managers told me not too long ago.
-
Come on guys, its never going to happen. When i spoke with NetSuite a few months back they said they had nothing in the pipeline to improve things like this. They will be adding extra content over the years but not the overall architecture of the system. Its time to change eCommerce systems.
-
scriptable checkout + no script writer = <null> Lol at this, you missed out the ; and { } good luck with that :)
-
Hi Evan, can we expect to see any major changes to the eCommerce platform any time soon? I think we all agree NetSuites eCommerce platform is behind the times, but we understand it wont change over night. What we need is some reassurance that something is in the works with an ETA so we can all stop moaning about it on the…

Well the sneak peeks for 2010.2 are out and as i could have guessed im overly disappointed. Use this link for the outlines, https://system.netsuite.com/help/helpcenter/en_US/SneakPeeks/2010.2.0_SneakPeeks.html. Basically, the only thing at all that is worth something to our company is apparently being able to see the…

Your best bet would be to create a cookie when the user changes their language and reference it that way. I do not believe there are any standard tags that NetSuite allows us to access, unless someone knows of one?
-
well i've voted for them but if that is the only way it is going to get fixed then it's as good as useless. Pretty bad that fundemental things like this that are broken are classed as enhancements and yet with each new release something else that is not really asked for comes out rather than addressing the underlying…
-
Well, point one has 8 votes and point two now has 1 vote, im very sure these wont be seen for years to come
-
Still happening every now and then. I think it relates to having multi websites. Something gets confused when changing between the two and NetSuite starts retrieving the wrong CSS files and locations. Very strange.
-
Hi Carol, i am giving up on it. The functionality doesnt work correctly and should never have been publically launched. How can NetSuite be so sloppy launching new modules. Waste of time and money.
-
S1 is the top priority for our QA/DEV team. The defect was set to S1 on 11/29/2010 That may be so, but the case was raised in July!
-
Hi alexismart, Your concern is attached to defect #166885 which is set as an S1. Our Dev is actively working on this defect. Best, Maria LOL yeah right, i raised this case back in July, you are telling me it takes 5 months to fix 1 defect, what a load of ****. NetSuite's SLA times for defects is a joke!
-
And then it will be the millenium, NetSuite will crash and we will be back in the dark ages.
-
Just as i thought, i really didnt want to go down that route, recreating 100 categories a couple of times is a waste of time. Most other eCommerce platforms allow you to share the categories amoung different stores. Ah well.
-
I gave up in the end and turned it off, another defect thats going to take a year to fix, do NetSuite have any staff?
-
Thats what we did, our main site is on netsuite at www.blitzsport.com. We then got hosting with another company who could host Wordpress, created a subdomain blog.blitzsport.com. We then setup our dns to point all requests to the blog site for the subdomain and normal www request to NetSuite.

Did anyone get any further with this? We are thinking of using the paid version and want to make sure we are getting the right results first before we spend money. The ClickTale reports are recording information, just it limits what you can report on in the free version.
-
Probably not, we will wait for our own secure domain name. Thanks any way.
-
Probably not, will be swept under the carpet as usual.
-
Evan, has this been sorted with the custom checkout URLs? I havent started using it yet but other users have said that the checkouts like securedcheckout.com etc do not have Extended Validation.
-
Hi Joyce, the only way to do this in NetSuite is through JavaScript. Because NetSuite doesnt allow us to use server-side scripting like PHP we are stuck with only that option. I looked recently online for this ourselves and there are a couple of solutions out there.
-
Hi Quinn, this is not possible through NetSuite hosted stores.
-
Nice, will have a look through that tommorrow. I have setup the beta site from scratch with my own async code, will wait for the results tommorrow. I am the only one using it so the results will either be 100% accurate or inaccurate :) Will let you know what i find.

Hi Oliver, can you clairfy on Shipping line items? Are you talking about normal "Shipping Items"? If so we already have these setup for our normal day-to-day business. As for the second part, if we did this it would probably not fit part 1 of the problem, it would calculate 2 sets of shipping costs, doubling postage for a…

We used to use the free version of ClickTale. Like Wizard says, under the website theme, we put the code at the very top of the logo and tabs template, and the at the bottom of the footer template. Seemed to work ok with it set that way.
-
We use Security Metrics for our PCI DSS compliance. Website is https://www.securitymetrics.com/, give them a call, they should be able to help you out.
-
... they dont seem to care about either our business or their own. Investing some time and money into getting these enhancements in place would not only help us generate more revenue but open up their solution to more potential clients. Its just business sense to keep up with the competition, just shows their lack of…
