Did you try using name as filter?

Did you learn anything more about this? We have inbound SSO to the customer center from one of our systems but are finding it doesnt allow you to go from the customer center to the webstore- which is nuts from a customer perspective! They have to go back to our system and click on a different SSO link to go to the…

So this is to say that you were able to automate the sending of the document? Were you able to specify a sender or did you have to use the entity on the record?
-
Did you check online forms for custom records? Where are you storing the data?
-
Only if you have SSO enabled and the user is authenticated in the referring system.
-
You can create custom transactions with custom GL impacts.

paul- any update on this bundle?

Thanks everyone for your feedback! The lack of a rejection reason is definitely going to be an issue for us- including that would seem to be common sense... So I guess we will have to script it. I also saw that we cannot add custom fields as columns so we were thinking of trying to build the timesheet as a custom portlet-…

And then just close it? Maybe I will pitch that. They may feel it has more weight than a quote. My current solution was a quote re titled as "Deposit Invoice". They did not like that because it didnt match AR. Thanks.

Yes but searches are not the same as having the forms generated from NetSuite.
-
We use those extensively too to help people fund others. But in this case, they got tired to managing codes and it can be hard to predict the totals on items with shipping and tax, so instead they will give us a large deposit and when they check a box to authorize sponsorship in our registration system, we will…

Did you figure out anything? I need to do this too.
-
You cant. You will have to script this- we store alternate billing contacts to send out transactions to and the only way I have found to do this is via script. If the transaction was something core like an invoice or something, you could also use a workflow but statements are handled a little differently. I have also found…

We receive payments either via customer center (credit card) or checks to our lockbox (upload via csv as payment) or wire transfers. So you are saying your sales order is your customer-facing invoice? Is there an automated component because we have tens of thousands invoices per year.

there is 'deferral' option on item record which allows you to start recognition on item delivery, you can than mark the item as delivered and start the rev rec process (until then the rev rec does not start) the options for deferral are : In the Deferral field, choose how to handle deferment when this item is sold as part…

I find that annoying as well. However, if it's ever been used you will have a hard time deleting it. I ended up renaming these to fall under a parent of "z-inactive" so they would go to the bottom of the list but if anyone has a better idea, I'd be interested.

Two ideas. One: cash basis accounting (I'm guessing this is unlikely solve...but hey, who knows). Two: why even invoice if you don't want to recognize revenue? Invoicing / revenue rec prior to fulfillment of product is generally not GAAP friendly. You could send customer a sales order form to pay issue payment from…

Thanks Oliver, I appreciate the insight.

Thanks for the help!

One thing to look at is in the GL, there is a column for "delete". If it says NO, its a system account and it cannot be deleted b/c its tied into native processes. Also, any account without a number may be a NetSuite account as they by default have no numbers.

Hi - I'm trying to create searches and/or reports to get Time information for our CFO. The basic question is how to best identify when an employee hasn't posted time, or hasn't posted enough time for a day. This "identification" is best to alert the employee and his/her supervisor. How are others handling this? We're…

I believe that these are the default accounts (below), however, the ones I was referred to on the delete=no are not becuase they are posted to but b/c they are native accounts that NS wont let you delete for whatever reason. They arent all marked as such but I do not find that regular accounts I create move to a Delete=no…

we have a handful of duplicated assets that came over when we migrated from QB to NS. We didn't notice until after running depreciation. I cannot delete the assets since depreciation has been run. Is there another way to remove these (non-existant) assets from the books or do i just need to dispose of them, JE them off the…

I'm interested in this as well. We dont mail invoices and the AP contact email is often different than the account email. I can create a seperate field to track the AP contact email but then I cannot get the results in a group for bulk mail merge of past due invoices.
-
Ping---anyone with advice on this?
-
What did you end up doing on this? We have the same issue.
-
Why dont you just make the form have "email" checked and forms you dont want, have "email" unchecked?
-
Oliver, Thank you so much for the response. Are quotes the same as proposals? I dont see quotes in my list. We do need to go with the custom record/scripting path b/c the calculations are variable. However, if those scripts generate a proposal, I don't see how the customer can convert that to a cash sale. Is that how the…

Thank you Oliver.

We send out "invoices" which tell them how much their next year's subscription will be (its variable based on prior year's history). However, they technically do not have any obligation to continue with the service- though 90% do renew each year by paying their "invoice". When we receive the payment we essentially record…
