Enhancements to the Limit Values Feature and Impacts to Applications
Learn what actions you should take here to ensure your filter logic aligns with your design intent.
- Filters with the Limit Values By setting will now always respect other filters from the same or higher scope and location, unless explicitly excluded.
- The Limit Values By Custom option will be restricted to filters within the same location, preventing unintended overrides from higher-scope filters.
- A fix was applied to address the issue where dashboard filters could bypass author-designed Limit Values By behavior.
Use Template Workbooks for Performance Improvements
When you are filtering data in workbooks using subject areas, you can use template workbooks as a starting point to incorporate the most useful filters for a particular subject area.
The templates are organized by pillar and content category, and each is clearly named based on the workbook’s primary subject area. Learn more here.
